How to Change the Layout of the Text Editor Block

Overview

The Text Editor Block in the PhotoBiz Website Builder includes multiple layout options that control how your title, text, button, background, and decorative elements are displayed.

You can switch layouts without rebuilding the block or re-entering your content. This guide walks you through both ways to change a Text Editor Block layout and explains the 12 available layout options.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

Click the page that contains the Text Editor Block you want to update.

STEP THREE

Locate the Text Editor Block on your page. You can change its layout directly from the block or open the complete layout menu.

For a quick layout change, use the left and right arrows beside the current layout name in the upper-right corner of the block. Click either arrow to move through the available layouts. The builder updates the block as you select each layout so you can preview the different options.

To view all available layouts at once, click the PENCIL ICON in the upper-right corner of the block, then click CHANGE LAYOUT.

FINAL STEP

If you selected CHANGE LAYOUT, the available Text Editor Block layouts will appear in the right-side panel. Browse the layouts and click SAVE beneath the layout you want to use.

The selected layout will be applied to your Text Editor Block. To see how the updated block appears on your website, click VIEW SITE at the top of the Website Builder.

Text Editor Block Layout Options

The Text Editor Block includes 12 layouts. Each layout uses the content already entered in your block but changes how that content is arranged and styled.

One Column – Displays the title at the top with single-column text below and an optional button beneath the text.
Two Column – Displays the title at the top with the text divided into two columns and an optional button below.
Editorial Left – Displays the title on the left with single-column text on the right and an optional button below the text.
Editorial Top – Displays the title at the top with indented single-column text below and an optional button.
Overlay One Column – Displays the title and single-column text over a separate background area with an optional button.
Overlay Two Columns – Displays the title and two-column text over a separate background area with an optional button.
Overlay Border – Displays the title and single-column text over a separate background area with a solid border around the text area.
Contemporary Border – Displays the title, single-column text, and optional button inside a solid-line border.
Contemporary Title – Displays the title on the left and single-column text on the right, separated by a vertical solid-line divider, with an optional button.
Contemporary Horizontal – Displays a horizontal solid line above the title, followed by single-column text and an optional button.
Contemporary Center – Displays the title at the top with a horizontal solid-line divider between the title and single-column text, with an optional button.
Contemporary Vertical – Displays the title at the top with a vertical solid-line design element and single-column text below, with an optional button.

Helpful Notes

Changing the layout does not remove or replace the content already entered into the Text Editor Block. Your title, text, links, and button settings remain in the block when you switch layouts.

Because each layout arranges content differently, the same text may look different depending on the layout you select. You can switch between layouts as needed to find the option that works best with your page design.

Some layouts also include additional visual elements such as backgrounds, borders, or divider lines. You can customize the appearance of your Text Editor Block using its design settings after selecting your layout.

There is no separate publishing step. When you save your changes in the Website Builder, they are applied to your website.
