PhotoBiz Mailbox does not automatically track email opens. The only way to know whether a client has opened an individual email is by using the Request a Read Receipt option when sending messages through webmail. This article shows you how to enable read receipts and explains what to expect after your email is opened. By the end, you will know how to confirm when an email was read and where to find that confirmation.
This article applies only to emails sent from PhotoBiz Mailbox.
If you want to track open rates for email marketing campaigns, see: How Can I Track My Marketing Campaigns?
Log into your Mailbox via webmail at https://mailbox.photobiz.com
Click COMPOSE MAIL from the email toolbar to open a new message window.
In the New Message window, click MORE in the toolbar, then select REQUEST A READ RECEIPT.
Confirm that the New Message window indicates the email will be sent with a read receipt request. You can now compose your message and send it when ready.
When your client opens the email, reads it, and closes the message, they will be prompted to send a read receipt back to you. Sending the receipt is optional. If the client chooses not to send it, no confirmation will be returned to you.
If your client agrees to send the read receipt, you will receive a confirmation email in your inbox showing the date and time the message was opened.
Read receipts only work if Request a Read Receipt is enabled before sending the email.
Clients can decline to send a read receipt even if they open the message.
Read receipts are not available for automated emails or marketing campaigns.
Mailbox read receipts track individual emails only, not engagement statistics.
