This article explains how to set up your PhotoBiz Mailbox using Apple Mail on a macOS computer, such as an iMac or MacBook Pro. Following these steps allows you to send and receive email using your PhotoBiz email address directly from Apple Mail. This setup uses IMAP, which keeps your email synchronized across devices. The instructions below reflect the standard Apple Mail setup process.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
Your full PhotoBiz Mailbox email address
The mailbox password you created in PhotoBiz
Access to your Mac’s system settings
The latest macOS updates installed
Checking for system updates helps ensure Apple Mail has the most recent security and compatibility updates.
Open Apple Mail on your device.
When prompted, click Add Account to begin.
When asked to choose a mail account provider, click Other Mail Account.
On the Add a Mail Account screen, enter the following information:
Name: Enter your name
Email Address: Enter your full PhotoBiz Mailbox email address
Password: Enter the password you created for your PhotoBiz Mailbox
Click Sign In to continue.
Enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings exactly as follows:
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
Outgoing Mail Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
Click Sign In. Apple Mail will verify the settings and continue the setup.
Confirm that Mail and Notes are selected, then click Done to complete the setup.
IMAP is recommended because it keeps your mailbox synced across multiple devices.
If setup fails, double-check that your email address and password are entered exactly as created in PhotoBiz.
If you recently changed your mailbox password, be sure Apple Mail is using the updated password.
