How to Add a Discount to an Invoice in PhotoBiz
The QUOTES & INVOICES tool in PhotoBiz makes it easy to send line item invoices to your customers and accept online payments. This guide will show you how to add a discount to an invoice.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on QUOTES & INVOICES in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Click on INVOICES at the top center of your Quotes & Invoices control panel.
STEP THREE
Create a new invoice or click on the Invoice Number for the invoice you want to add a discount to.
STEP FOUR
Click on the EDIT button to begin editing your invoice.
STEP FIVE
Click on the NEW ITEM button to add a new line item to your invoice.
STEP SIX
Add the details for your discount:
- Item Name (example: "Discount")
- Description (optional but helpful)
- Quantity (enter 1)
- Amount (enter a negative amount, like -$25.00, to deduct from the invoice total)
Important:
To make sure your sales taxes are calculated correctly, be sure to set the Taxable option to YES for your discount item.
Once you’ve filled out the information, click ADD ITEM to save the discount to your invoice.
After you add the discount, it will appear as a separate line item on your invoice inside your control panel, like in the example screenshot below.
Your clients will also clearly see the discount listed on their invoice when they view it online.
