Overview
PhotoBiz Blog Blocks allow you to display published blog posts directly on any page of your website. When your Blog Block includes more posts than the selected layout displays at first, you can use the Last Item option to let visitors load additional blog posts without leaving the page.
The Blog Block now includes the same type of Load More display options available in the List Block. You can choose whether the Load More option appears as a Button, Text Only link, or Last Grid Item when the selected layout supports Link Style options.
In this guide, you will learn how to adjust the Load More option for a Blog Block and choose how it appears on your website.
Before you begin, make sure you already have:
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens your Website Builder, where you can edit your website pages and manage your content blocks.
Open the page that contains your Blog Block.
Click directly on the Blog Block to open the block settings panel. You can also click the upper-right corner of the Blog Block and choose CHANGE LAYOUT if you need to adjust the layout before editing the Last Item settings.
Choose a Blog Block layout that supports the Last Item option.
The Last Item settings are layout dependent. The number of blog posts that display at first is controlled by the layout settings, including the number of rows and columns available for the layout you choose.
For example, if your Blog Block is set to display two rows and two columns, visitors will see four blog posts at first. If more than four posts are available, the Load More option can be used to reveal additional posts.
If you do not see the Last Item settings in your Blog Block panel, change the Blog Block layout and check the settings again.
Locate the Last Item settings section in the right-side panel.
Choose Yes, as a "Load More" link to allow visitors to load additional blog posts directly on the page.
This option is best when you want visitors to keep browsing more blog posts without sending them to a separate page.
Under Link Style, choose how you want the Load More option to appear on your website.
You can choose from Button, Text Only, or Last Grid Item.
Button displays a clickable button visitors can use to load more blog posts. Text Only displays a simple text link. Last Grid Item uses the final visible grid item area as the interactive prompt to load more blog posts.
Use the Link Text field to customize the text visitors see. For example, you can use text such as Load More, View More Posts, or See More Stories.
If your selected layout does not include the Link Style dropdown, the Load More option will use the Last Grid Item style automatically.
Click Save Changes to apply your update.
Visit the page on your website to preview how the selected Load More option appears and functions for visitors. Your Blog Block will now display the Load More option using the style you selected, and visitors can click it to view additional blog posts without leaving the page.
The Blog Block includes three Load More display styles when supported by the selected layout.
Button
The Button option displays the Load More link as a button. This style is easy for visitors to notice and works well when you want the action to stand out on the page.
Text Only
The Text Only option displays the Load More link as simple text. This style creates a cleaner, more minimal appearance and works well for layouts with a simple editorial design.
Last Grid Item
The Last Grid Item option turns the final visible grid item area into the Load More prompt. This creates a more visual browsing experience because the Load More action appears as part of the blog post grid.
Choosing the Best Load More Style
Different Load More styles create different browsing experiences for your visitors.
Button styles are more prominent and easier to notice
Text Only styles create a cleaner, minimal appearance
Last Grid Item styles create a more interactive browsing experience
You can switch between styles at any time without changing your blog posts or Blog Block content.
Customizing Last Grid Item Colors
If you choose Last Grid Item, you can customize its colors from the COLORS tab in the Blog Block settings.
Available color settings may include:
Last Item Text Color
Last Item Background Color
These settings control how the Last Grid Item prompt appears on your website.
Using a Standard Link Instead
The Last Item section can also be used as a standard call-to-action link instead of a Load More link.
Choose Yes, as a "Standard" link if you want the final item to send visitors somewhere else, such as your full blog page, a featured landing page, a contact form, or another page on your website.
Standard link options may include:
External Link
Page
Form
Marketing
File
Phone
Address
Video
Pop-Ups
Use the Load More option when you want visitors to reveal more posts on the same page. Use the Standard link option when you want to send visitors to another destination.
Layout Compatibility
The Last Item settings are layout dependent.
If you do not see the Load More, Link Style, or Last Item settings, confirm that your Blog Block is using a supported layout. You can change the block layout by opening the Blog Block settings and choosing CHANGE LAYOUT.
Rows and Columns Control How Many Posts Display First
The number of blog posts visitors see before the Load More option appears depends on your layout settings.
If your layout supports rows and columns, adjust those settings to control how many posts appear at first. Any additional posts can be loaded using the Load More option when it is enabled.
Why is the Load More option not showing on my website?
The Load More option only appears when there are more blog posts available than the number currently displayed by your Blog Block layout. Check your rows, columns, post filters, and published blog posts to confirm that additional posts are available.
Why do I not see the Link Style dropdown?
The Link Style dropdown is layout dependent. If your selected layout does not include Link Style options, the Load More option may use the Last Grid Item style automatically.
Can I change the Load More text?
Yes. Use the Link Text field in the Last Item settings to customize the text visitors see.
Will changing the Load More style affect my blog posts?
No. Changing the Load More style only changes how the Load More option appears on your website. It does not change your published blog posts, blog post URLs, tags, or content.
