How to Create a QR Code for a Form or Contract in PhotoBiz

Overview

PhotoBiz Forms & Contracts include a built-in QR code option that makes it easy to share a form or contract from printed materials, signage, postcards, flyers, welcome packets, or event displays. When someone scans the QR code, it opens the public link for your form or contract.

In this guide, you will learn how to find, scan, and download the QR code for a form or contract from your PhotoBiz Forms Dashboard. You will also learn what happens if you rename a form after downloading a QR code.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have an existing form or contract created in your PhotoBiz account.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS in the left-side menu.

This will open your Forms Dashboard, where you can manage your forms, contracts, form submissions, and related settings.

STEP TWO

Click FORMS at the top center of the Forms Dashboard.

This will open your list of forms and contracts. From here, you can choose the form or contract you want to share with a QR code.

STEP THREE

Search for the form or contract you want to share, or click the form name from your list.

If you have multiple forms or contracts, you can use the search bar to quickly find the correct one. Make sure you are opening the form or contract you want people to access when they scan the QR code.

STEP FOUR

Click the Share button located toward the top right of the form editor.

The sharing panel will open on the right side of your screen. This panel includes several sharing options for your form or contract, including the built-in QR code

FINAL STEP

Find the QR Code section in the Share panel.

You can scan the QR code directly from your dashboard or download it as a PNG file. To save the QR code to your computer, click the download option in the QR Code section.

After the QR code is downloaded, you can add it to printed materials, studio signs, flyers, postcards, brochures, event displays, welcome packets, or other marketing pieces. When someone scans the QR code, the public form or contract link will open.

Additional Options and Helpful Notes

The QR code opens the public link for your form or contract when scanned.

The QR code can be scanned directly from your PhotoBiz dashboard if you want to test it before downloading.

You can download the QR code as a PNG file and use it outside of your PhotoBiz account.

QR codes are helpful for:

  • Printed flyers
  • Studio signage
  • Event displays
  • Brochures
  • Postcards
  • Welcome packets
  • Model call applications
  • Inquiry forms
  • Registration forms
  • Contract access

If you update the content inside the form or contract after sharing the QR code, visitors will see the most current version when they scan the QR code and open the form.

Use caution when changing the form or contract title after downloading a QR code. The form title controls the public URL. If you change the title, the form URL will also change and a new QR code will be generated.

If you already printed or saved a QR code before changing the form title, the original QR code may no longer open the correct form. If you want to reuse a form for a new campaign, event, season, or printed piece, make a copy of the form instead of renaming the original form.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Can I use a PhotoBiz form QR code on printed materials?

Yes. You can download the QR code as a PNG file and use it on printed materials such as flyers, postcards, brochures, studio signs, event displays, and welcome packets. When scanned, the QR code opens the public link for your form or contract.

Can I update my form after downloading the QR code?

Yes. You can update the content of the form or contract after downloading the QR code. Visitors will see the most current version when they scan the QR code and open the form.

What happens if I change the form title after downloading the QR code?

The form or contract title controls the public URL. If you change the title, the URL will also change and a new QR code will be generated.

If you already printed or saved the original QR code, it may no longer open the correct form. For this reason, it is best to avoid changing the form title after using the QR code on printed materials.

What should I do if I want to reuse a form for a new event or campaign?

Make a copy of the form instead of changing the title of the original form. This helps keep the original QR code working for any printed materials, signs, or marketing pieces already in use.

Can people scan the QR code from my dashboard?

Yes. The QR code can be scanned directly from the Share panel in your PhotoBiz account. This is a good way to test the QR code before downloading or printing it.

What file type is the QR code?

The QR code downloads as a PNG file. This format works well for most printed and digital materials.
