Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries allow your clients to mark favorite images from their event. When sharing is enabled for the event, clients can send their selected favorites to family members or friends by email.
This is helpful when clients want feedback from others, want to share a smaller group of images, or want someone else to view specific favorites without searching through the full gallery. This guide explains how clients can share their favorites and what the recipient will see after the favorites are sent.
Before your clients can share favorites, make sure the following items are in place:
After your client selects their favorite images, they can click the FAVORITES tab inside their gallery.
This opens the list of images they have marked as favorites. In the upper-right area of the Favorites screen, below the menu, they can click the SEND FAVORITES button.
A sharing menu will open. Your client can choose Other (Friends & Family) from the available sharing options.
They can then enter the recipient’s email address and send the selected favorites.
After the favorites are sent, a confirmation message will appear letting the client know the share was successful.
The recipient will receive a branded email that includes a grid of thumbnail images for the selected favorites.
Each thumbnail in the email is clickable or tappable. When the recipient selects a thumbnail, it opens a larger view of that favorited image.
Depending on the event settings, the recipient may need to enter their email address and/or the event password before viewing the shared images.
This helps protect the gallery when access restrictions are enabled. If no additional access settings are required, the recipient can open the shared images directly from the email.
After the recipient is verified, they can view each shared favorite image in full size.
The easiest way for the recipient to review the specific favorites is to open one image from the email, review it, close it, and then select the next thumbnail from the email. This keeps the recipient focused on the exact favorite images your client shared.
The SEND FAVORITES button only appears when sharing is enabled for the event. If your client does not see this button, review the event settings in your Client Galleries Dashboard and confirm that sharing is turned on.
Shared favorites do not give the recipient access to edit the client’s favorites list. The recipient can view the images that were shared with them, but the original favorites selection remains controlled by the client who created it.
The shared favorites email is designed to highlight the selected favorites. However, after opening the gallery, the recipient may be able to access other images in the event by using the comparison tool or by navigating back to the gallery grid view.
If the event requires a password, make sure the client shares the correct event password with the recipient. The branded email gives the recipient access to the shared image links, but password-protected events may still require the event password before the images can be viewed.
Why does my client not see the SEND FAVORITES button?
The SEND FAVORITES button may not appear if sharing is not enabled for the event. Check the event settings in your Client Galleries Dashboard and confirm that sharing is turned on.
Can recipients see the full gallery?
The favorites email includes a grid of clickable or tappable thumbnails for the images your client selected as favorites. The recipient can click or tap a thumbnail to view the larger version of that specific favorited image.
After the recipient opens the gallery, they may also be able to access other images in the event by using the comparison tool or by navigating back to the gallery grid view. The easiest way to review only the selected favorites is to open each thumbnail from the email one at a time.
Will recipients receive the full-size original files?
No. The shared favorites email allows recipients to view the selected images. It does not automatically send downloadable original files unless downloads are separately enabled for the event.
Can clients share favorites with more than one person?
Clients can send favorites to family or friends using the sharing menu. If they need to share with multiple people, they can repeat the sharing process for each recipient.
