Overview
PhotoBiz Marketing lets you review campaign tracking so you can see which contacts opened your email campaign. If you want to follow up only with people who did not open the original email, you can use your campaign tracking data and contact tags to exclude the contacts who already opened it.
This guide walks you through exporting the list of contacts who opened your campaign, importing them back into Marketing with a new tag, and resending your campaign while excluding that tag. By the end, your follow-up campaign will only be sent to contacts who did not open the previous campaign.
Before you begin, make sure you have already sent the original campaign and that enough time has passed for contacts to open the email. You will also need access to the Marketing Dashboard and the tracking report for the campaign you want to resend.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click MARKETING in the left-side menu. This opens your Marketing Dashboard, where you can create campaigns, manage contacts, and review campaign tracking.
Open the tracking section for the campaign you want to resend. Export the list of contacts who opened the campaign.

After exporting your opened contacts, import that list back into your PhotoBiz Marketing contacts. During the import process, apply a new tag that clearly identifies those contacts as people who opened the campaign.
Use a tag name that matches the campaign, such as Spring Mini Sessions Opened or 2026 Senior Promo Opened. This makes the tag easy to recognize when you build your resend audience.

Return to the campaign you previously sent and choose the option to resend that same campaign. Use the same original contact list or audience you selected the first time.
Before resending, review the campaign details to make sure the content is still accurate and relevant.
When choosing the recipients for the resend, exclude the tag you created for the contacts who already opened the previous campaign. For example, if your tag is Spring Mini Sessions Opened, exclude that tag from the recipient selection.
This sends the same campaign again to the original audience, but leaves out the contacts who already opened it. Once the recipient settings are correct, resend the campaign.

You may want to adjust the subject line before resending your campaign. A different subject line can help your follow-up email stand out to contacts who missed or skipped the first message.
This workflow is especially helpful for:
Only resend to contacts when the message is still relevant. Sending too many repeat emails can lead to lower engagement or more unsubscribes.
The PhotoBiz Website Package includes 10,000 marketing emails each month. Resent campaigns count toward your monthly marketing email total.
Why do I need to export and import the contacts who opened the campaign?
Exporting and importing the opened contacts lets you create a tag for them. Once they are tagged, you can exclude that tag from your resend campaign so the email only goes to contacts who did not open the original message.
Should I resend the exact same campaign?
You can, but it is often helpful to update the subject line or preview text. This gives the email a fresh chance to catch your contacts’ attention.
Will this resend the campaign to people who unsubscribed?
No. Contacts who unsubscribed from your marketing emails will not receive future marketing campaigns.
Can I use this same process for future campaigns?
Yes. You can repeat this workflow any time you want to resend a campaign only to contacts who did not open the original email.
