Overview
The PhotoBiz Email Campaign Builder allows you to use Button Blocks to direct readers to pages, forms, files, external websites, and other destinations.
When you use the PhotoBiz AI Campaign Builder, PhotoBiz automatically includes a button with a link as part of the campaign it creates. You may need to configure a Button Block if you skipped the AI setup, want to change an existing button, or want to use multiple buttons in the same campaign.
This guide walks you through changing the button text, choosing a destination with the Link To selector, and testing your button before sending your Email Marketing Campaign.
If you have not created a campaign yet, see How Do I Create a New Email Marketing Campaign.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click MARKETING in the left-side menu.
This opens the Marketing Dashboard, where you can access your Email Marketing Campaigns and other marketing tools.
From the Marketing Dashboard, click EMAIL CAMPAIGNS at the top of the page.
This opens your Email Marketing Campaign list, where you can view and manage your existing campaigns.
Click the Email Marketing Campaign you want to edit.
The Email Campaign Builder opens so you can update the content and settings for that campaign.
Click the Button Block you want to configure.
The Button Block settings open in the right-side panel. From here, you can change the text displayed on the button and choose where readers are sent when they click it.
If you are editing a campaign created with the PhotoBiz AI Campaign Builder, you can select the button that was automatically added to the campaign. You can also use these settings for additional Button Blocks you add to the campaign.
Enter or update the text you want readers to see on the button in the BUTTON TEXT field. Then use the Link To dropdown menu to select where the button should send them.
Additional settings will appear based on the link option you select. Complete the settings for your destination, then click SAVE CHANGES.
Before sending your Email Marketing Campaign, send yourself a test email and click the button to confirm that it opens the correct destination.
If you have multiple buttons in the campaign, test each one. Once every button displays the correct text and opens the intended destination, your campaign is ready for the next step in your sending workflow.
See How To Send Myself a Test Email Campaign for complete testing instructions.
The Link To dropdown menu controls what happens when someone clicks the Button Block.
Available options include:
https://.The fields displayed below Link To change based on the option you select. Complete the available settings for that destination before clicking SAVE CHANGES.
There are three common reasons you may need to use the Button Block link settings.
You can use multiple Button Blocks in the same Email Marketing Campaign. Each button can have its own BUTTON TEXT and Link To settings.
For example, one campaign could include buttons such as:
Using separate buttons can be helpful when your campaign gives readers more than one action to choose from.
Make sure you test every button before sending the campaign.
When you complete your campaign setup using the PhotoBiz AI Campaign Builder, PhotoBiz automatically includes a button with a link as part of the campaign it creates.
You do not need to configure that initial link unless you want to change it.
To update the AI-generated button, click the existing Button Block, change the BUTTON TEXT or Link To settings, and click SAVE CHANGES.
Use short, descriptive button text that tells readers what to expect when they click.
Examples include:
Clear calls to action make it easier for readers to understand where the button will take them.
You can also customize the appearance of your Button Block.
Click the Button Block, then click the COLORS icon in the right-side panel. Adjust the available button colors and click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.
PhotoBiz Email Marketing Campaigns use a single-column layout. Button Blocks and other campaign content appear in their own sections and cannot be placed side by side.
If you use multiple Button Blocks, each button will appear in its own section of the campaign.
The button opens the wrong destination
Click the Button Block and review the option selected under Link To. Confirm that the correct destination is selected and that its additional settings are correct.
Make any necessary changes, click SAVE CHANGES, and send yourself a new test email.
My external link does not work
Make sure External Link is selected under Link To and confirm that you entered the complete web address, including https://.
Click SAVE CHANGES, then send yourself another test email.
I changed the button, but my previous test email still shows the old version
A previously sent test email reflects the version of the campaign that existed when that test was sent.
After making changes, click SAVE CHANGES and send yourself a new test email to test the latest version of the campaign.
I do not want the button to link anywhere
Select None from the Link To dropdown menu and click SAVE CHANGES.
I have more than one button in my campaign
Each Button Block has its own settings. Click each Button Block individually and confirm its BUTTON TEXT and Link To destination.
Before sending your campaign, test every button to make sure each one opens the correct destination.
