✉️ Switching to PhotoBiz Mailbox from Another Email Provider

If you're using a domain-based email (like you@yourdomain.com) and want to start using PhotoBiz Mailbox, we’re excited to help you make the switch! There are just a few important steps to take to make the transition smooth—especially if you’re currently using a different email provider.

This guide walks you through everything you need to know, from archiving your current inbox to setting up your new Mailbox.

✅ Before You Switch: Archive Your Emails

The most important first step is archiving your existing emails. When you switch to PhotoBiz Mailbox, your new inbox will not contain any of your old emails. Think of it as a fresh start—so saving your past messages is crucial.

📌 Every email provider has different steps for archiving. Reach out to your current provider (like Google Workspace, GoDaddy, etc.) for instructions on how to export or save your emails.

You might also consider:

  • Exporting your emails as a backup file (like a .PST or .MBOX)
  • Forwarding important emails to a personal email
  • Saving attachments or contacts separately if needed

Once you've archived your emails, you're ready to order your Mailbox!

As soon as we process your Mailbox order, our team will update your domain’s settings to route your email through PhotoBiz instead of your previous provider.

⚠️ Important: Once this change is made, your previous email provider will stop working completely. That’s why it’s critical to archive your old emails first—there’s no going back after the switch.

⏳ What to Expect During the Switch

After we update your domain's settings:

  • Your email may be down for 4–6 hours, and in some cases up to 48 hours
  • You won’t be able to send or receive emails during this time
  • Plan ahead so you’re not missing important communication

💻 Accessing Your New Mailbox

Once your Mailbox is ready, here’s how to log in:

  • Go to mailbox.photobiz.com
  • Log in with your email address and the password you created during setup

📲 Want to Use an Email App?

If you prefer to check your email through an app like Apple Mail, Outlook, or Gmail on your phone or computer, you’ll need to:

  • Set up your Mailbox email as a new account
  • Follow our step-by-step setup instructions (link to configuration guide)

🔁 Even if you used this same email address with another provider, you'll need to re-add it as a new account in your app or device settings.
