How to Activate SSL Encryption on Your PhotoBiz Website
SSL encryption secures your PhotoBiz website with HTTPS so visitors see it as “Secure” instead of “Not Secure.” All PhotoBiz 9 websites include SSL at no additional cost.
Older versions of PhotoBiz (such as HTML5 Portfolio or Legacy Builder) do not support SSL. If your site is on an older version, you’ll need to upgrade to PhotoBiz 9 to use this feature.

Before You Start
Make sure you’ve:
- Set up your domain name in your PhotoBiz account
- Launched and published your PhotoBiz 9 website
SSL certificates can only be generated once your domain is live and your website is published.
STEP ONE
Log Into Your Account
-
Go to your PhotoBiz login
-
Click on DOMAINS from the menu on the left side of your dashboard
STEP TWO
Enable SSL
-
In your domain setup area, look for a checkbox that says:
“I understand this change is not reversible and will take effect immediately.” -
Check that box
-
Click the Enable SSL button to start generating your SSL certificate
That’s it! Once enabled, SSL will protect every page of your site automatically.
Please Note:
- It can take 24 to 72 hours for your SSL certificate to fully activate. During this time, your site may still appear as “Not Secure.” This will go away once SSL is active.
- Your Website Preview in the control panel may be temporarily disabled while SSL is being set up. You may see a connection failure message, but your website content is saved. Once the SSL certificate is applied to your domain, your live preview will be restored.
