Troubleshooting PhotoBiz Mailbox Webmail Login Issues

Overview

If you are having trouble logging in to your PhotoBiz Mailbox through webmail, there are a few common causes to check first. Most webmail login issues happen when the email address is entered incorrectly, the browser autofills an old email or password, or the Mailbox password needs to be reset.

This guide explains how to manually enter your login information, check your password, review Rackspace service status, and try an alternate webmail login page if needed.

Double-Check Your Email Address

When logging in to webmail through mailbox.photobiz.com, make sure you enter your full PhotoBiz Mailbox email address.

For example, enter:

name@yourdomain.com

Do not enter only the first part of your email address. You should also make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the email address.

If you see the message “Contact Your Email Administrator,” the email address does not match the mailbox you are trying to access. This usually means the email address was entered incorrectly. Re-enter your full email address and try logging in again.

Manually Type Your Login Information

Your browser may save and autofill an old email address or password. This can cause webmail login errors even when your current Mailbox email address and password are correct.

To avoid this, clear anything already filled in on the login page. Then manually type your full Mailbox email address and password instead of selecting a saved login from your browser.

Make sure you type the full email address, including your domain name, such as name@yourdomain.com

If manually typing your login information works, update or remove the saved login information in your browser so the wrong email address or password is not used again.

Confirm Your Password

Make sure you are entering the correct password for your PhotoBiz Mailbox email account. Your Mailbox password may be different from the password you use to log in to your PhotoBiz control panel.

If you are not sure whether the password is correct, reset your Mailbox password from your PhotoBiz control panel.

Check Rackspace System Status

PhotoBiz Mailbox uses Rackspace for email hosting. If your email address and password are correct but you still cannot log in, there may be a temporary Rackspace service issue.

You can check the Rackspace status page here: https://status.apps.rackspace.com

If Rackspace reports an active issue with webmail, try logging in again after the issue is resolved. You can also try using an email app, such as Apple Mail or Outlook, to access your email.

Try the Alternate Webmail Login Page

If the standard webmail page is not loading or you are unable to sign in, try Rackspace’s alternate webmail login page.

Alternate Rackspace webmail login: https://webmail.emailsrvr.com

Use your full Mailbox email address and password when logging in.

Reset Your Mailbox Password

If you forgot your password or continue having trouble logging in, reset your Mailbox password from your PhotoBiz control panel.

After resetting your password, return to webmail and log in using your full email address and new Mailbox password.

Use an Email App

If webmail is unavailable, you may still be able to check your email through an email app such as Apple Mail, Outlook, or another email client.

PhotoBiz Mailbox works with most major email clients. Once your Mailbox is connected to an email app, you can send and receive email from your computer, phone, or tablet.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

If you recently reset your Mailbox password, update the password anywhere your email is connected. This may include:

  • Apple Mail
  • Outlook
  • The mail app on your phone or tablet
  • Any other email app connected to your Mailbox

If your email app still uses the old password, it may continue showing login errors until you update it.

You may also want to clear or update saved passwords in your browser if webmail continues to autofill the wrong login information.

Why do I see “Contact Your Email Administrator” when logging in?

This message usually means the email address was entered incorrectly. Make sure you are entering your full email address, including your domain name with the correct spelling.
