How to Set Up Spam Protection in PhotoBiz

Your PhotoBiz Website Package includes built-in tools to help protect you from spam.
The Spam Protection settings in your control panel let you manage and customize your security options easily.

This guide will show you step-by-step how to access and adjust your spam protection settings.

STEP ONE

Log Into Your PhotoBiz Account

  • Go to your PhotoBiz Control Panel.
  • Click MY ACCOUNT from the menu on the left side.

STEP TWO

Access Spam Protection Settings

  • Hover over SETTINGS at the top of your My Account page.
  • In the dropdown menu, click SPAM PROTECTION.

TURN ON GOOGLE reCAPTCHA

At the top of the Spam Protection page, you’ll see your Google reCAPTCHA settings.

  • If reCAPTCHA is not yet enabled, we highly recommend turning it on to help automatically block bots and spam.

👉 Follow this guide to activate Google reCAPTCHA

SPAM POLICY SETTINGS

In this section, you can manually block spam submissions by setting up:

  • Blocked Domains & Email Addresses
Stop submissions from specific email addresses or entire domains.
⚠️ Be careful: Blocking a domain like gmail.com will block everyone using a Gmail address.

  • Blacklisted IP Addresses
Block submissions from specific IP addresses known for spam.

  • Restricted Words List
Block any form or comment submissions that contain specific words.
    (Example: casino, lottery, bitcoin, etc.)
➡️ Tip: If reCAPTCHA is enabled, you may not need to add many manual blocks unless you’re seeing issues.

ADDITIONAL SPAM PROTECTION OPTIONS

You can also customize a few more settings:

  • GDPR Policy Checkbox Label
Customize the text for your GDPR compliance checkbox on forms.
  • Backup Privacy Policy
Store a backup copy of your Privacy Policy here for quick access.
  • Marketing Emails Opt-in
Allow users to opt in to receive marketing emails when they submit forms.

By managing these settings, you can reduce spam and improve the security of your website forms.
