How to Edit Your Spam Policy Settings in PhotoBiz

We take your security seriously. To help protect your forms and blog comments from fraud and spam, PhotoBiz automatically updates a global list of blocked spam terms.
You also have the power to customize your own restricted word list and spam settings in your account at any time.

How Restricted Words Work:
If someone tries to submit a form or comment that contains a word from your restricted list, their submission will be blocked.
Example:
If "Casino" is on your restricted list, a submission with "Casino themed photoshoot" would be blocked.

Want to block individual spammers instead of using restricted words?

👉 Check out this guide on How to Block a Sender.

💡 Pro Tip

Restricted words also apply to the titles or labels of your form fields, not just form entries.

Be mindful when adding words to your restricted list that you may want to use in your forms.

STEP ONE

Log into Your PhotoBiz Account

  • Go to your PhotoBiz Control Panel.
  • Click MY ACCOUNT from the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

Access Spam Protection Settings

  • At the top of the My Account page, hover over SETTINGS.
  • In the dropdown menu, click SPAM PROTECTION.

STEP THREE

Customize Your Spam Policy

  • Scroll down past the Google reCAPTCHA section until you find the SPAM POLICY area.
  • You can adjust the following options:

    • Blacklisted Domains and Email Addresses:
Block specific email addresses or entire domains from submitting forms.
⚠️ Important: Be very cautious when blocking domains like gmail.com or yahoo.com. Blocking popular domains can prevent real clients from contacting you!

    • Blacklisted IPs:
Block submissions from specific IP addresses.

    • Restricted Words:
Add words or phrases you want to block in form submissions and blog comments.
      (Example: casino,lottery,bitcoin,etc.)

      • ➡️ Important: When adding multiple restricted words, separate them with a comma and no spaces (for example: casino, lottery, bitcoin) so the filter works properly.

  • After making your changes, click SAVE CHANGES to update your spam protection settings.
