How to Change the Fonts in List Blocks

Overview

List Blocks in the PhotoBiz Website Builder use your website’s global font settings by default. You can customize an individual List Block when you want its titles, descriptions, buttons, or Last Item text to use different typography.

The List Block font settings let you change the font face, size, letter spacing, and line height for each supported text area. These block-level settings allow you to create a different look for one List Block without changing fonts throughout your entire website.

This guide walks you through how to access and customize the font settings for a List Block.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.

This opens the PhotoBiz Website Builder.

STEP TWO

Click the page that contains the List Block you want to customize.

Locate the List Block on your page. Click the block to open its settings, or click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block and then click ADVANCED to access the complete List Block settings.

STEP THREE

Click FONTS in the right-side menu.

STEP FOUR

The EDIT LIST panel displays the font settings available for your List Block. You can customize the TITLE, DESCRIPTION, BUTTON TEXT, and LAST ITEM TEXT.

Each section shows the current font along with its current Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height settings.

You can also click MANAGE YOUR FONTS at the top of the panel to open a live preview of your website. PhotoBiz takes you directly to the List Block you are editing using an anchor link, so you can quickly review the block in the context of your page.

STEP FIVE

Click the font section you want to customize.

You can select a different font face and adjust the available Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height settings. Repeat this process for any additional List Block text you want to customize.

Changes made here apply to this individual List Block rather than changing the typography throughout your entire website.

FINAL STEP

When you are finished customizing your fonts, click SAVE CHANGES.

Your changes are automatically applied to your website. There is no separate publish button.

Review the List Block on your website to make sure the font, size, and spacing work well with your content. You can use MANAGE YOUR FONTS to quickly open the live page at the List Block you are editing.

List Block Font Options

The FONTS section provides separate typography controls for the different types of text used in your List Block:

  • TITLE: Controls the font used for your List Item titles.
  • DESCRIPTION: Controls the font used for your List Item descriptions.
  • BUTTON TEXT: Controls the font used for buttons within your List Block.
  • LAST ITEM TEXT: Controls the font used for text associated with the Last Item feature.

Each text area includes controls for:

  • Font Face: Selects the font used for the text.
  • Size: Controls how large or small the text appears.
  • Letter Spacing: Controls the spacing between individual characters.
  • Line Height: Controls the vertical spacing between lines of text.

How List Block Fonts Work With Your Website Fonts

Your List Block uses the corresponding fonts from your website’s global design settings unless you customize them within the block.

When you change an individual List Block font setting, that customization applies to that block. Other List Blocks and other areas of your website continue using their existing font settings.

This makes it possible to create a unique look for a specific List Block without changing the typography across your entire website.

Using Manage Your Fonts

Click MANAGE YOUR FONTS at the top of the List Block font panel when you want to view the block on your live website.

PhotoBiz opens the website and uses an anchor link to take you directly to the List Block you are currently editing. This is especially helpful on longer pages because you do not need to manually scroll to find the block.

Use this preview to check how your typography looks alongside the rest of your page content.

Helpful Notes

  • Font customizations made within a List Block apply to that individual block.
  • Any List Block typography you have not customized continues to use the corresponding global website font settings.
  • Review font size, letter spacing, and line height together. Large adjustments can affect how text wraps within your List Block.
  • Use MANAGE YOUR FONTS to quickly view the block on your live website while you are working.
  • Preview your List Block on both desktop and mobile to make sure your text remains clear and easy to read.
