How to Customize Fonts in Individual Blocks on Your PhotoBiz Website

Overview

Every block in the PhotoBiz Website Builder includes font settings that allow you to customize the typography used within that block. The font areas available depend on the block type, selected layout, and content included in the block.

For each available font area, you can change the font face, font size, letter spacing, and line height. These individual block settings allow you to customize typography within a specific block without changing the fonts used throughout the rest of your website.

This guide shows you how to select a font, adjust its font properties, preview your changes, and reset customized settings.

STEP ONE

STEP TWO

Click the name of the page that contains the block you want to customize.

The page will open in the Website Builder so you can edit its blocks and settings.

STEP THREE

Click the block you want to customize.

The settings for that block will open in the right-side panel.

STEP FOUR

Click FONTS in the right-side block settings.

The font areas available depend on the block type, selected layout, and content included in the block.

STEP FIVE

Review the font areas available for the block. The options you see will vary depending on the block type, selected layout, and the types of text the block supports.

For example, a block may include font areas for Title, Paragraph, Heading H1, Heading H2, Heading H3, buttons, or other text elements.

Hover over the font area you want to customize and click the pencil icon that appears.

STEP SIX

The font bank displays the CURRENT FONT being used for that font area. Use the FILTER BY options to browse available fonts.

You may see RECENTLY USED, MY FONTS, ALL, SERIF, SANS-SERIF, MONOSPACE, SCRIPT, and HANDWRITTEN.

MY FONTS displays the fonts currently being used in your website's global DESIGN settings. If you recently selected another font that is not included under MY FONTS, RECENTLY USED may also appear so you can quickly access that font again.

STEP SEVEN

Click a font category to browse the fonts available in that category.

If your current font is included in the selected category, PhotoBiz automatically scrolls to it.

Hover over the font you want to use and click SAVE to apply it.

STEP EIGHT

After you save the font, PhotoBiz returns you to the block's FONTS settings with the selected font applied.

If the font you selected is not currently included under MY FONTS, a CUSTOMIZED label appears next to that font area.

STEP NINE

To adjust the font properties, hover over the row that displays Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height.

Click the row or the pencil icon that appears on the right to open the font property settings.

STEP TEN

Use the sliders to adjust Font Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height. Move a slider to the left to decrease the value or to the right to increase it.

The STYLE PREVIEW updates as you adjust the sliders so you can review your changes before applying them.

When you are finished, click SAVE CHANGES to apply the new settings.

FINAL STEP

Repeat these steps for any additional font areas you want to customize within the block.

Your saved font settings are automatically applied to your website. There is no separate publish button.

After making typography changes, review your website on desktop and mobile screen sizes to make sure the text remains clear and easy to read.

Font Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height

Each available font area includes additional typography controls that can be adjusted independently:

Font Size: Controls how large or small the text appears.
Letter Spacing: Controls the amount of space between individual characters.
Line Height: Controls the vertical space between lines of text.

Changing one property does not require you to change the others.

How Individual Block Fonts Work With Global Fonts

Your global font settings under DESIGN control the default typography used throughout your PhotoBiz website.

When you customize a font setting within an individual block, that setting applies to that specific font area in the block instead of the corresponding global setting.

For example, if your global paragraph font uses one font but you select a different paragraph font within a specific block, that block will use the font you selected.

This allows you to maintain consistent typography across most of your website while creating custom styling for individual sections when needed.

Using Fonts From MY FONTS

MY FONTS displays the fonts currently being used in your website's global DESIGN settings.

Use MY FONTS when you want to select one of the same fonts already being used throughout your website.

If you select a font that is not included under MY FONTS, PhotoBiz displays a CUSTOMIZED label for that font area.

Reset a Customized Font Property

When you customize Font Size, Letter Spacing, or Line Height, PhotoBiz displays a CUSTOMIZED label next to the property you changed.

Click the X inside the CUSTOMIZED label to reset that individual property to its default setting.

Each property can be reset independently. For example, you can reset Letter Spacing without resetting your customized Font Size or Line Height.

Font Settings on Desktop and Mobile

You do not need to configure separate font settings for desktop and mobile devices.

Your font selections and font property settings apply across desktop and mobile displays.

After making significant typography changes, review your website on different screen sizes to make sure the text remains easy to read.
