If you're using PhotoBiz Version 9 or higher and your domain’s DNS is managed through AWS Route 53, you can add SRV records directly from your PhotoBiz account. These records are typically used for custom services like VoIP, SIP, messaging, and other third-party tools that rely on service-based routing.
What Is an SRV Record?
An SRV (Service) record is a type of DNS record used to define the location (hostname and port number) of servers for specific services. You may need to add SRV records when connecting your domain to platforms like Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, or certain email or voice communication tools.
IMPORTANT: DNS management is only available if your domain is using AWS (Route 53) name servers. If your domain is still on our legacy Rackspace name servers, you won’t see the DNS management option.
Log in to PhotoBiz and Open Domain Settings
Open the DNS Zone Editor
Add a New DNS Record
Enter Your SRV Record Details
Your service provider will give you the exact details to enter. Each SRV record typically includes:
_sip)_tcp or _udp
⚠️ Be sure to enter all fields exactly as provided by your service provider. Mistakes can cause the service to fail or behave unpredictably.
DNS Changes May Take Time
Most updates go live within a few minutes, but full propagation across the internet can take up to 48 hours.
