How to Adjust the Frequency of Pop-Ups in PhotoBiz
The PhotoBiz Website Package includes the Pop-Up Builder, which allows you to add both Pop-Ups and Promotional Bars to your website. These are great tools for:
- Announcing promotions and sales
- Collecting newsletter sign-ups
- Offering freebies (like a style guide)
- Sharing important updates with clients
This guide will walk you through how to adjust how often your pop-ups appear for your visitors.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click MARKETING in the left-side panel.
STEP TWO
Click on POP-UP BUILDER at the top center of your Marketing control panel.
STEP THREE
Find and click on the name of the pop-up you’d like to adjust the frequency settings for.
STEP FOUR
Click on the SETTINGS button on the upper right side of the Pop-Up Builder.
STEP FIVE
Choose when your pop-up should appear after the page loads. You can select from:
- 0 seconds
- 5 seconds
- 10 seconds
- 30 seconds
STEP SIX
Control how often your pop-up will appear for visitors by selecting one of the following options:
- Only once – The pop-up will not appear again for a visitor after they have closed it.
- Every day – The pop-up will reappear after 24 hours if the visitor has previously closed it.
- Every 7 days – The pop-up will reappear after 7 days if the visitor has previously closed it.
- Every 30 days – The pop-up will reappear after 30 days if the visitor has previously closed it.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your updated pop-up settings.
Best Practices for Pop-Up Frequency:
- Use Only once for one-time announcements (such as a holiday closure).
- Use Every day for urgent or limited-time promotions.
- Use Every 7 days for ongoing campaigns (like newsletter sign-ups).
- Use Every 30 days for long-term evergreen offers (such as first-time client discounts).
Good to Know: Frequency settings are stored per user and per browser. If a visitor switches devices, uses another browser, or clears their cookies, the pop-up will appear again based on your chosen settings.
FINAL STEP
Click PUBLISH to make your updated frequency settings live on your website.
