How to Add Photo Add-Ons to Products in PhotoBiz ECommerce

Overview

Photo Add-Ons in PhotoBiz ECommerce allow your clients to assign additional Client Gallery images to a product for an extra charge. This is useful for products such as albums, books, packages, and other items that include a set number of photos but allow clients to add more.

Photo Add-Ons are available only when a product is purchased through Client Galleries. They do not appear when the same product is purchased through a Product Block on your website.

This guide walks you through adding Photo Add-Ons to a new or existing product, setting the maximum number of additional photos, and choosing the price charged for each extra photo.

How Photo Add-Ons Work

Photo Requirements determine how many Client Gallery images are assigned to a product. Photo Add-Ons allow your client to select more images than the standard Photo Requirement for an additional price per image.

For example, if an album requires 20 photos and additional photos cost $10 each, a client who selects 23 photos will be charged the regular album price plus $30 for the three additional photos.

Photo Add-Ons only work with products purchased through Client Galleries because this is where clients select and assign gallery images to products.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu. This opens the ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage your products and other selling tools.

STEP TWO

Hover over SELL ONLINE at the top of the ECommerce Dashboard and click PRODUCTS. This opens your list of products.

STEP THREE

Click the product you want to update. You can also click NEW PRODUCT if you are creating a product and want to configure its Photo Add-Ons during setup.

STEP FOUR

Click ADD-ONS in the product settings. This opens the settings for controlling how many additional photos clients can select and how much each additional photo costs.

FINAL STEP

Enter the maximum number of extra photos a client can select in MAXIMUM ADDITIONAL PHOTOS. Then enter the amount you want to charge for each extra photo in ADDITIONAL PRICE PER PHOTO.

When you are finished, click SAVE CHANGES. Your Photo Add-On settings will now be available when this product is purchased through a Client Gallery.

What Your Client Sees in Client Galleries

When a client purchases the product through a Client Gallery, they select the images required for the product. PhotoBiz shows how many images they have selected and the maximum number included with the product.

Once the client reaches the product's maximum number of included images, an add-on option appears if Photo Add-Ons are configured for that product. The add-on displays the additional price per photo.

The client can click the add-on option to select additional images beyond the product's standard maximum. PhotoBiz adds the configured ADDITIONAL PRICE PER PHOTO for each extra image selected.

For example:

A photo album includes up to 15 photos.
Additional photos cost $10 each.
After the client selects 15 photos, the add-on + $10.00 option appears.
Each additional photo the client selects adds $10 to the product price.
The number of additional photos the client can select is limited by the MAXIMUM ADDITIONAL PHOTOS setting you configured for the product.

Additional Options and Helpful Notes

Photo Add-Ons are available only for products purchased through Client Galleries.
Photo Add-Ons do not appear when a product is purchased through a Product Block on your website.
MAXIMUM ADDITIONAL PHOTOS controls the maximum number of extra images a client can add to the product.
ADDITIONAL PRICE PER PHOTO controls how much is charged for each additional image.
Photo Add-Ons are configured individually for each product.
Photo Requirements determine the standard number of Client Gallery images assigned to the product.
You can return to the product settings at any time to change or remove its Photo Add-On settings.
Changes are applied after you click SAVE CHANGES.
