Overview
The Gift Cards feature is available with the PhotoBiz Website Package. Gift cards can be used during checkout for purchases made through the Scheduler, Client Galleries, and ECommerce store.
All eligible purchases use the same checkout process, so your clients will see the gift card payment option during payment. This guide explains what clients see, how gift cards are applied, and what happens when a gift card covers all or part of an order total.
Gift cards cannot be applied to invoices or forms.
Before a client can use a gift card during checkout, you must have gift cards available in your PhotoBiz account. Your client must also have a valid gift card code.
Your client begins checkout by booking a session through your Scheduler, placing an order through Client Galleries, or purchasing products through your ECommerce store.
When your client reaches the payment screen, they will see an option to pay with a gift card. This appears along with any merchant payment options you have enabled, such as credit card payment options.
Your client enters their gift card code in the gift card payment field and applies it to the order.
After the code is applied, the checkout total updates automatically based on the gift card balance and the order amount.
If the gift card covers the full order total, the client can complete the purchase using only the gift card.
If the gift card covers part of the order total, the remaining balance due is displayed during checkout. Your client can then pay the difference using one of your configured merchant payment options.
After the purchase is completed, the gift card usage is recorded in the order details. If the gift card still has a remaining balance, that balance stays available for future eligible purchases.

What happens if the gift card balance is higher than the order total?
The order can be completed using the gift card. Any unused gift card balance remains available for future eligible purchases.
What happens if the gift card balance is lower than the order total?
The gift card amount is applied to the order. The remaining balance due is displayed, and the client can pay the difference using one of your enabled merchant payment options.
