How to Customize Your Scheduler Colors in PhotoBiz

Overview

You can customize the colors of your PhotoBiz Scheduler so your booking experience matches your website and brand. Most Scheduler layouts use the global colors configured in your Website Design Settings, including colors for available dates, time slots, forms, and the Book Now button.

Single Item Layouts work differently and allow you to set colors directly inside the Scheduler block.

This guide explains how to change your Scheduler colors, which website color settings control each Scheduler element, and what to check if your colors are not appearing as expected.

Important Note About Single Item Layouts

If you are using a Single Item Layout, you do not need to change your website's global colors to customize the Scheduler block.

Single Item Layouts have their own color settings within the Scheduler block. See Customizing Colors for Single Item Layouts below.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

Click DESIGN at the top-center of your Website control panel.

This opens the Design Settings area for your website.

STEP THREE

Click EDIT DESIGN SETTINGS in the upper-right corner of the Design Settings control panel.

STEP FOUR

Click the COLORS icon in the right-side menu.

You can now adjust the global website colors that control the appearance of your Scheduler and other areas of your website.

FINAL STEP

Adjust the color settings you want to use, then scroll to the bottom of the right side menu and click SAVE CHANGES.

Your changes are automatically applied to your website when you save them. There is no separate publish step.

Open your Scheduler on your website to review the updated colors and make sure the booking experience matches your desired design.

Scheduler Color Reference Guide

The following website color settings control these elements in your Scheduler:

  • Available Dates: Accent 2
  • Selected Time Slot: Accent 2
  • Calendar Date Numbers: Contrast Text
  • Time Slots: Site Text
  • Client Info Section: Form Background
  • Book Now Button Background: Button Background
  • Book Now Button Text: Button Text

Because these are global website color settings, changing them may also affect other parts of your website that use the same color setting.

Customizing Colors for Single Item Layouts

A Single Item Layout uses color settings inside the Scheduler block instead of your website’s global Color Picker.

When editing the page that contains your Scheduler, open the Scheduler block and choose the colors you want to use within the block settings.

This allows you to customize the appearance of that individual Scheduler layout without relying on the global website color settings described above.

Helpful Notes

  • Check your color contrast. Make sure dates, time slots, form text, and buttons are easy to read against their backgrounds.
  • Review your Scheduler after making changes. Check the complete booking experience so you can see how your color choices work together.
  • Check your Scheduler on mobile. Viewing your booking page on a phone can help you confirm that text, buttons, and available time slots remain easy to see and use.
  • Remember that global colors can affect other website elements. If another part of your website uses the same color setting, it may change when you update your Scheduler colors.
  • Single Item Layouts use block-level colors. If global color changes are not affecting your Scheduler, check whether the Scheduler is using a Single Item Layout.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why aren't my Scheduler colors changing?

If changing your global website colors does not change your Scheduler, check whether you are using a Single Item Layout. Single Item Layouts use color settings inside the Scheduler block instead of the global Website Design Settings.

If you are not using a Single Item Layout, make sure you clicked SAVE after changing your website colors.

Why did another part of my website change color?

The Color Picker controls global website colors. Other website elements that use the same color setting may also change when you update it.

For example, changing Button Background for your Scheduler can also affect other website buttons that use the global Button Background setting.

If you are using a Single Item Layout and only want to change that Scheduler block, customize its colors directly within the block settings instead.
