How to Change a Block Layout on Your PhotoBiz Website

Overview

Most blocks in the PhotoBiz Website Builder include multiple layouts that control how their content is arranged. Changing the layout allows you to update a block’s appearance without deleting the block or adding its content again. You can browse all available layouts or use the arrow controls to move through them quickly.

This guide explains how to identify a block’s current layout, select a different layout, and adjust any layout-specific display options.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens the Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages, blocks, and design.

STEP TWO

Click the page containing the block you want to update.

When the page opens in the Website Builder, each block that supports multiple layouts displays its selected layout name in the upper-right corner. Locate the block you want to change and review its current layout.

STEP THREE

Click the pencil icon to the right of the block’s current layout name. Click CHANGE LAYOUT in the block menu.

The panel on the right will display the layouts available for that block. The block’s selected layout appears by default and is identified under CURRENT LAYOUT. It is also highlighted among the available layout choices.

FINAL STEP

Scroll through the available layouts in the right-side panel. Some layouts include Rows and Columns drop-down menus that control how many items appear within the layout.

Select any available display options you want, then click SAVE beneath the layout you want to apply.

The selected layout and its settings are automatically updated on your website. You do not need to publish the page separately. Click VIEW SITE at the top of the Website Builder to review the change on your live website.

Quickly Change a Layout Using the Arrow Controls

The block’s current layout name appears in its upper-right corner between left and right arrows. Click either arrow to move through the available layouts.

The new layout is applied automatically when you use the arrows. You do not need to click SAVE.

Use the arrows when you want to cycle through layouts quickly. Use CHANGE LAYOUT when you want to compare all available designs or adjust options such as Rows and Columns.

Helpful Notes

Changing a layout rearranges the existing content within the block. It does not delete the block or require you to add its content again.

The layout options available depend on the block type. Some blocks offer more layouts or display settings than others.

Options such as Rows and Columns may not appear for every block or layout.

Layouts control how the block’s content is arranged. Fonts, colors, backgrounds, spacing, and animations are managed through the block’s other editing options.

Images may appear at a different size or position after you change layouts. Review the updated block to make sure important parts of each image remain visible.

Check the new layout on desktop and mobile devices because content may stack or display differently on smaller screens.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why don’t I see a layout name, layout arrows, or CHANGE LAYOUT?

The block may not support multiple layouts. Title Blocks, Button Blocks, HTML Blocks, and Gift Cards Blocks do not include layout options.

Why don’t I see Rows or Columns options?

These settings are only available for certain blocks and layouts. If they do not appear, you can select the layout without adjusting the number of rows or columns.

Why does my image look different after changing the layout?

Each layout uses its own content arrangement and image display area. Try another layout or adjust the image to find the best presentation for your content.

Do I need to publish my website after changing a layout?

No. PhotoBiz automatically applies the updated layout to your website. Click VIEW SITE to review the change on your live website.
