Overview
If you use PayPal as a payment method in your PhotoBiz account, you may occasionally see an order marked as Pending. This status means the payment has not been fully completed or confirmed through PayPal. In most cases, this happens when the client does not finish the checkout process. This guide explains why Pending payments occur and how to resolve them so you can keep your orders moving forward.
An order may appear as Pending for a few common reasons:
In most situations, the cause is that the client left PayPal before finishing their payment.
After your client submits an order on your website, they are redirected to PayPal to complete payment.
At that point, they must either:
If your client does not complete this step, PayPal does not confirm the payment. As a result, the order will remain in Pending status inside your PhotoBiz account.
Below is what the process looks like for your customer:
Before making any changes in PhotoBiz, check the payment directly in your PayPal account.
This step confirms whether the payment was actually completed.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and access your orders through the ECOMMERCE option in the left side menu. Click on the order number you want to update the payment status for.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu.
Click the Pending bar in the Payment Status section of your dashboard to view all pending orders.
Click on the ORDER NUMBER you want to update.
In the upper-right corner of the order page, click the STATUS button.
Click CHANGE STATUS in the right-side menu.
Under Select Payment Status, choose Paid.
You can also choose to send an email notification to your client with their receipt and payment confirmation.
Click Save Changes to apply the update. The order will now reflect as paid in your account.
The order is still Pending, but the client says they paid
Check your PayPal account for the transaction. If you do not see it, the checkout was not completed.

Log into PayPal and accept the payment before updating the order in PhotoBiz.
