How to Add and Customize a Client Galleries Block

Overview

The Client Galleries Block allows you to display Client Gallery events directly on your PhotoBiz website. You can use it to showcase recent sessions, organize events by category, and create a convenient page where clients can find and open their galleries.

This guide explains how to add a Client Galleries Block, select the event category you want to display, and customize the block’s layout and design. You will also learn how many Client Galleries Blocks you can add to a page and explore other ways to share Client Gallery events with your customers.

Prerequisites

Before adding the block, make sure you have created at least one event in your Client Galleries Dashboard.

If you want to organize events by session type, assign categories to your events before setting up the block.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens the Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages and content blocks.

STEP TWO

Open the page where you want to display your Client Gallery events, or create a new page.

To quickly add the block, click the Client Galleries Block icon on the right side of the Website Builder. The block will automatically be added to the bottom of the page.

To place the block in a specific location, click and hold the Client Galleries Block icon. Drag it onto the page and release it when the teal placement line appears in your preferred location.

You can reposition the block later by dragging it to another location on the page.

STEP THREE

Choose the starting design for your Client Galleries Block.

Select Blank Block to add a block that uses your website’s global styling. You can customize the layout and appearance after adding it.

Select Pre-designed Block to begin with a professionally designed layout. You can also customize a pre-designed block after adding it to the page.

Click the Select button below the option you want to use. If you choose a pre-designed block, sample images may appear temporarily until you select your Client Gallery events.

STEP FOUR

Open the SELECT EVENTS section and use the category dropdown menu to choose the Client Gallery event category you want to display.

You can also choose whether event expiration dates appear in the block.

Each Client Galleries Block displays one event category. If you want to showcase multiple categories, add a separate Client Galleries Block for each category.

FINAL STEP

Review the selected event category and block settings, then click Save Changes.

Your updates are automatically applied to the website. Preview the page and click one of the displayed events to confirm that it opens the correct Client Gallery.

Additional Options and Block Settings

After adding the Client Galleries Block, you can customize its layout, colors, fonts, spacing, background, and animations.

Open the block settings and select the section you want to update. Click Save Changes after editing a settings section to apply the updates to your website.

Last Item Link

The Last Item Link adds an optional link or action after the displayed Client Gallery events.

Available options include:

  • None: Does not display an additional link.
  • Load More Link: Allows visitors to load more events on the same page.
  • Standard Link: Adds a custom link that directs visitors to another destination.

When using a Standard Link, you can connect it to:

  • Another website page
  • An external website
  • A file
  • A form
  • An Email Marketing Campaign
  • A phone number
  • An email address
  • A physical address
  • A YouTube or Vimeo video
  • A pop-up

You can also customize the text visitors see for the link.

Layout Options

The Client Galleries Block includes eight layout styles:

  • Modern Square: Displays square-cropped images with event details over the images.
  • Modern Portrait: Displays vertically cropped images with event details over the images.
  • Modern Landscape: Displays horizontally cropped images with event details over the images.
  • Editorial Circle: Displays circular images with event details below each image.
  • Editorial Square: Displays square images with event details below each image.
  • Editorial Landscape: Displays horizontal images with event details below each image.
  • Editorial Portrait: Displays vertical images with event details below each image.
  • Gallery: Highlights one main event with additional event tiles and navigation arrows.

Modern layouts work well when you want event information displayed over the images. Editorial layouts place the information below each image for a clean, magazine-style presentation.

The Gallery layout emphasizes one event at a time and allows visitors to browse additional events using the navigation controls.

You can also adjust the number of rows and columns to control how many events appear in the block.

Styling Options

Use the Styling section to adjust the block’s appearance and spacing.

Available settings include:

  • Overlay opacity
  • Title and description alignment
  • Image border thickness
  • Spacing between items
  • Spacing above, below, and inside the block
  • Flushing
  • Mobile layout with one or two columns

Flushing controls whether the block extends across the available page width or remains aligned with the main website content.

Colors

Use the Colors section to override your website’s global colors for the Client Galleries Block.

Depending on the selected layout, you can customize:

  • Event title color
  • Text color
  • Background color
  • Overlay color
  • Last item text color
  • Last item background color
  • Border color

Check the block in desktop and mobile preview modes after changing colors. Make sure event titles, dates, and links remain easy to read against the images and background.

Backgrounds

You can add a background behind the Client Galleries Block by uploading your own image or selecting one from the Background Library.

Background display options include:

  • Tile: Repeats the image across the background.
  • Top Left: Positions the image in the top-left corner.
  • Centered: Centers the image within the block.
  • Cover: Enlarges the image to fill the available background area.

Choose a background that keeps event titles, dates, and other text easy to read.

Fonts

Use the Fonts section to customize the typography for the Client Galleries Block without changing the fonts used throughout the rest of your website.

Available font settings include:

  • Font style
  • Font size
  • Letter spacing
  • Line height

You can apply these settings to:

  • Event titles
  • Event dates
  • Last item text

Use fonts and sizes that remain easy to read on desktop and mobile devices.

Animations

Image Hover Animations add movement when a visitor places a cursor over an event image.

Available options include:

  • None
  • Scale
  • Blur
  • Scale + Blur
  • Bounce

Hover animations are primarily visible on desktop devices. Mobile visitors do not have the same cursor-based interaction.

Using Multiple Event Categories

Each Client Galleries Block displays one selected event category. If you photograph different session types, such as weddings, seniors, families, or newborns, you can add a separate block for each category.

You can add up to 30 Client Galleries Blocks to a single website page. Because each block displays one category, you can showcase up to 30 different Client Gallery event categories on the same page.

For the best browsing experience, consider dividing a large number of categories across multiple pages. This can make your website easier to navigate and prevent the page from becoming unnecessarily long.

Mobile Display Tips

Many clients will open their galleries from a phone or tablet. Use the Website Builder’s mobile preview to check the block before sharing the page.

Confirm that:

  • Event titles are easy to read.
  • Important parts of each image are not cropped.
  • Links and navigation controls are easy to select.
  • The selected one-column or two-column layout provides enough space.
  • Text remains readable against image overlays and backgrounds.

You may need to adjust the layout, text size, spacing, or mobile columns to improve the display on smaller screens.

Other Ways to Share Client Gallery Events

The Client Galleries Block allows you to create a page on your website where visitors can view and open your Client Gallery events.

You can also share access to individual events using:

  • Email Invitations (Recommended)
  • Direct Links
  • Social Media
  • A QR code

For instructions, see How Can I Share Client Gallery Events with My Customers?.

Troubleshooting Event Order Issues

Events in the Client Galleries Block normally follow the order saved in the Client Galleries Dashboard.

If the events appear out of order on your website, click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu and open the EVENTS section. Drag the first event into the second position and release it. Then drag that event back into the first position and release it again.

This resaves the event order. Return to the website page and refresh it. The Client Galleries Block should now display the events in the correct order.
