Overview
Your PhotoBiz Mailbox stores messages sent through PhotoBiz Webmail in the Sent Messages folder. Messages sent through third-party email apps such as Apple Mail, Outlook, or an iPhone may also appear there when the app is configured to save sent messages to the correct server folder.
This guide shows you how to find your sent emails in PhotoBiz Webmail and explains what to check if a message appears in a different folder or is missing from Sent Messages.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
If you have not created a mailbox yet, see How to Add a PhotoBiz Mailbox.
Go to https://mailbox.photobiz.com and log in using your full PhotoBiz Mailbox email address and password.
After you log in, your webmail inbox will open.
In the folder list on the left side of PhotoBiz Webmail, click Sent Messages.
This folder contains messages sent directly through PhotoBiz Webmail. Messages sent from a connected email app may also appear here when that app is configured to save sent messages to the Sent Messages folder on the mail server.
Click any message to open and review it.
When you use your PhotoBiz Mailbox with a third-party email app, that app controls which folder is used to store sent messages.
Depending on the app and its settings, sent messages may be saved in a folder named:
Using IMAP allows email folders to synchronize between your PhotoBiz Mailbox and compatible email apps, but IMAP does not automatically determine which folder the app uses for sent mail.
If the app is using a different server folder, you may see more than one Sent folder when you log into PhotoBiz Webmail.
If you use your PhotoBiz Mailbox on multiple devices or programs, each one may have its own sent-folder settings. For example, your iPhone and Outlook may be configured differently even though they use the same email address.
Changing the Sent folder setting on one device does not automatically update your other devices.
Correcting the Sent folder setting generally affects messages you send going forward. Messages already stored in another folder are not automatically moved into Sent Messages.
PhotoBiz Webmail does not include a setting that controls which Sent, Drafts, or Deleted folder a third-party email app uses. Those settings are managed within the email app or device.
Why is an email I sent missing from Sent Messages?
If you sent the message using Apple Mail, Outlook, an iPhone, or another email app, check the other folders listed in PhotoBiz Webmail. Your email app may have saved the message to a different Sent folder.
If the message does not appear anywhere in PhotoBiz Webmail, the email app may be configured to store sent messages locally on the device instead of on the mail server.
Why do I have more than one Sent folder?
A connected email app may have created or selected a different folder for sent messages. For example, one device may use Sent Messages while another uses Sent or Sent Items.
Update the sent-mail folder settings in the device or email program you use so future messages are stored in the correct server folder.
If you are using an iPhone, see How to Update Your Sent Mail Folder for PhotoBiz Mailbox Settings on iPhone.
Will changing my Sent folder move my older messages?
No. Changing the folder used for sent mail determines where future messages are saved. Messages already stored in another folder generally remain there unless you move them manually.
I fixed the setting on my phone. Do I need to change it anywhere else?
Possibly. If you use your PhotoBiz Mailbox with more than one device or email program, check the sent-mail settings on each one. Each application can have its own folder configuration.
