How to Use the PhotoBiz ECommerce Checklist

Overview

The PhotoBiz ECommerce Checklist helps you review the main settings needed to start selling through your PhotoBiz account. It appears at the top of your ECommerce Dashboard and provides direct access to your merchant, taxes, shipping, and items-for-sale settings.

As you complete each setup task, PhotoBiz automatically updates the checklist and replaces the empty circle with a checkmark. Once all checklist items are complete, the checklist is removed from your ECommerce Dashboard.

This guide explains how to use each part of the ECommerce Checklist and track your setup progress.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.

This opens your ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage orders, payment settings, shipping, taxes, products, and other ECommerce features.

STEP TWO

At the top of your ECommerce Dashboard, you will see YOUR ECOMMERCE CHECKLIST.

When you are setting up PhotoBiz ECommerce for the first time, the checklist includes SET UP MERCHANT, SET UP TAXES, SET UP SHIPPING, and ADD ITEMS FOR SALE.

Each incomplete item displays an empty circle. As you complete the corresponding setup, PhotoBiz automatically replaces the circle with a checkmark.

STEP THREE

Click any item in YOUR ECOMMERCE CHECKLIST to open its setup panel directly below the checklist.

The selected item is highlighted, and the panel provides information about that part of your ECommerce setup along with shortcuts to the settings you need. You can use these shortcuts to complete each part of your ECommerce setup.

Set Up Merchant

Click SET UP MERCHANT to review how your PhotoBiz account accepts online payments.

The SET UP MERCHANT panel includes a REVIEW YOUR MERCHANT SETTINGS button. Click it to open your Merchant settings, where you can connect or review the merchant provider you use to process customer payments.

Your merchant provider allows you to accept online payments through supported PhotoBiz features, including ECommerce, Client Galleries, Forms, Invoices, and Scheduler.

Once your merchant setup is complete, PhotoBiz automatically updates SET UP MERCHANT with a checkmark.

Set Up Taxes

Click SET UP TAXES to review the tax settings for your ECommerce account.

The SET UP TAXES panel includes a REVIEW YOUR TAXES SETTINGS button. Click it to open the Taxes area, where you can configure the tax rates you want PhotoBiz to apply to applicable sales.

PhotoBiz uses the tax settings you configure to calculate applicable tax during checkout.

Once your tax setup is complete, PhotoBiz automatically updates SET UP TAXES with a checkmark.

Set Up Shipping

Click SET UP SHIPPING to review the shipping settings for physical products you sell.

The SET UP SHIPPING panel includes a REVIEW YOUR SHIPPING SETTINGS button. Click it to open the Shipping area, where you can configure your shipping methods and rates.

Your shipping settings determine the available delivery options and shipping charges for applicable physical products during checkout.

Once your shipping setup is complete, PhotoBiz automatically updates SET UP SHIPPING with a checkmark.

Add Items for Sale

Click ADD ITEMS FOR SALE to begin setting up the items you want to sell through PhotoBiz.

The panel provides shortcuts to several types of ECommerce items:

ADD PRODUCTS - Add products you want to sell.
ADD PRINTS - Create print options for your images.
ADD DIGITAL IMAGES - Create digital image options customers can purchase.
ADD PACKAGES - Create packages that combine items or purchasing options.

Click the option that matches what you want to sell. You can add one or more item types based on your business and what you offer your customers.

Once you have added an item for sale, PhotoBiz automatically updates ADD ITEMS FOR SALE with a checkmark.

FINAL STEP

Review YOUR ECOMMERCE CHECKLIST to confirm your setup progress.

Completed items display a checkmark instead of an empty circle. Items that still need attention continue to display an empty circle.

PhotoBiz automatically updates the checklist as you complete each setup task, so you do not need to manually mark items complete during the normal setup process.

Once all four checklist items are complete, YOUR ECOMMERCE CHECKLIST will no longer appear on your ECommerce Dashboard. You can continue to access and update your Merchant, Taxes, Shipping, and items for sale through their regular ECommerce settings.

Helpful Notes

The ECommerce Checklist is a setup tool that provides shortcuts to existing PhotoBiz ECommerce features. Completing the checklist does not lock or remove any of your ECommerce settings.

If you configured part of your ECommerce account before viewing the checklist, those items may already appear as completed.

When you open a checklist item, you may also see a MARK THIS ITEM COMPLETE option. PhotoBiz normally updates checklist items automatically when you complete the corresponding setup, so you generally do not need to use this option.

You can continue making changes to your merchant, taxes, shipping, products, prints, digital images, and packages after the checklist is complete.
