Overview
You can add tags to Scheduler services in PhotoBiz to organize your services and make them easier for website visitors to find. Scheduler tags can be searched through your website’s on-site search, even when the searched term does not appear in the service name or description.
You can also configure a Scheduler Block to display only services assigned a specific tag. When a client books a tagged service, PhotoBiz automatically adds that tag to the client’s contact record for future organization and email marketing.
This guide explains how to add tags to a new or existing Scheduler service and how those tags can be used throughout your PhotoBiz account.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click SCHEDULER in the left-side menu.
This opens the Scheduler Dashboard, where you can manage your services, appointments, availability, and other booking settings.
Click SERVICES at the top of the Scheduler Dashboard.
The Services section displays the service categories and Scheduler services saved in your account. You can add tags to an existing service or create a new service and add tags during setup.
Find the service you want to update and click the service name to open the service editor.
You can also click NEW SERVICE to create a new service. After entering the initial service information and clicking CREATE, the service editor will open in the right-side panel.
Use the search option to locate the service if you have multiple categories or pages of services.
Click TAGS in the right-side menu of the service editor.
The Tags section allows you to add or remove the tags associated with the selected Scheduler service.
Enter the tag you want to use in the Add Tags field and click ADD. Repeat this process for each tag you want to associate with the service.
After a tag is added, it will appear below the Add Tags field. To remove a tag, click the trash can icon beside it.
When you finish managing the tags, click SAVE CHANGES. The tags will now be connected to the Scheduler service.
Scheduler tags can help visitors find services through your website’s on-site search.
When a visitor searches for a word or phrase that matches a Scheduler tag, the tagged service can appear in the search results. The searched term does not need to appear in the service name or description.
For example, you could add the tag family photography to several services. When a visitor searches your website for “family photography,” those tagged services can appear in the search results.
Your website must have on-site search enabled before visitors can use this feature.
For complete setup instructions, see How to Set Up On-Site Search with PhotoBiz.
You can configure a Scheduler Block to display only services assigned a specific tag.
This allows you to create focused booking pages without creating duplicate services in your Scheduler Dashboard.
For example, you could add the tag mini sessions to several services and configure a Scheduler Block to display only services with that tag. You could then place the block on a dedicated mini sessions page while keeping the same services available on other areas of your website.
You can use Scheduler tags to group services based on:
For complete instructions, see How to Display Scheduler Services with a Specific Tag.
When a client books a tagged Scheduler service, PhotoBiz automatically adds the service tag to the client’s contact record.
This allows you to:
For example, clients who book services tagged newborn photography can be grouped together for future emails about milestone sessions, first birthday portraits, family sessions, or print products.
For instructions on creating and sending an email campaign, see How to Send an Email Campaign with PhotoBiz Marketing.
Use short, descriptive tags that clearly identify the service, session type, location, or customer interest.
Keep your tag wording consistent. Avoid creating several versions of the same tag, such as:
Choose one version and use it consistently across related services.
Before adding a new tag, check whether an appropriate tag already exists. Consistent tags make it easier to manage on-site search results, Scheduler Blocks, contact lists, and email campaigns.
You can add multiple tags to the same service when it belongs to more than one category. For example, a service could use the tags mini sessions, holiday photography, and family portraits.
Tags do not replace your Scheduler service categories. Categories help organize services inside your Scheduler Dashboard, while tags provide additional options for website displays, on-site search, contact organization, and marketing.
