Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries allows you to download a QR code for each Client Gallery event. Customers can scan the QR code with their phone or mobile device to open the gallery quickly.
QR codes are helpful when you want to connect printed materials to an online Client Gallery. You can use them on event signage, school picture day handouts, sports team flyers, wedding cards, welcome packets, business cards, client guides, and more.
In this guide, you will learn how to open a Client Gallery event, download its QR code, test the QR code, and use it to share the gallery with your customers.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.
This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your gallery events, settings, orders, and sharing options.
Click EVENTS at the top center of your Client Galleries Dashboard.
This opens the list of Client Gallery events in your account.
Choose the Client Gallery event you want to share with a QR code.
If you have multiple events, use the search bar to find the event by name. Click the name of the event to open the event details.
Click the SHARE button at the top right of the event details page.
This opens the sharing options for the selected Client Gallery event.
The right-side panel will open. Click the Share section.
The QR code download option appears below the social media sharing icons. Click DOWNLOAD QR CODE to save a PNG version of the QR code to your device.
Open the downloaded QR code file and test it before sharing it with customers.
Scan the QR code with your phone to confirm it opens the correct Client Gallery event. Once you confirm the QR code works, you can add it to printed or digital materials so customers can quickly access the gallery.
You can use your downloaded QR code in many places where customers may need quick access to a Client Gallery event, including:
The QR code opens the Client Gallery event link. It does not remove or replace your gallery password settings.
If your Client Gallery event requires a password, customers may still need to enter the password after scanning the QR code. This depends on how your gallery sharing and password settings are configured.
Before printing the QR code on a large batch of materials, always test it on a phone or mobile device. This helps confirm that the QR code opens the correct gallery and that the gallery is ready for customers to view.
What can I use the Client Gallery QR code for?
You can use the QR code anywhere customers may need quick access to the gallery. Common examples include flyers, event signage, school picture day handouts, sports team materials, business cards, emails, and client guides.
Does the QR code replace the gallery password?
No. The QR code gives customers a quick way to open the Client Gallery event link. If your gallery requires a password, customers may still need to enter it based on your gallery settings.
What happens if I change the Client Gallery event name after downloading the QR code?
If you change the name of your Client Gallery event, the QR code will update. Any old QR code you downloaded, printed, or shared may no longer work.
When someone scans an outdated QR code, they may see your branding with this message:
Invalid Event
Please contact your service provider for more information
After renaming the event, download the updated QR code from the Share section and replace the old QR code anywhere it was used.
Can I send the QR code digitally?
Yes. You can attach the downloaded QR code image to an email, add it to a digital guide, include it in a social media graphic, or place it in another file you share with customers.
Should I test the QR code before sharing it?
Yes. Always scan the QR code with your phone before printing or publishing it. This confirms that it opens the correct Client Gallery event.
You should also test the QR code again if you change the Client Gallery event name. If the QR code shows an Invalid Event message, download a new QR code from the Share section and replace the old version.
Can I still share the gallery another way?
Yes. The QR code is one sharing option. You can also use the Share panel to send an email invitation, copy the gallery link, share to social media, or create a blog post from the Client Gallery event.
