How To Add Additional File Storage

How to Purchase Additional Storage in Your PhotoBiz Account

Overview

Current PhotoBiz Website Packages include storage for up to 5,000 files. If you need more room for images, Client Galleries, videos, documents, or other uploaded files, you can purchase Additional Storage directly from your PhotoBiz account.

Additional Storage increases the total number of files your account can hold. You can also combine multiple storage upgrades if you need more capacity as your business grows.

This guide walks you through the available Additional Storage options, how prorated billing works, and how to purchase more file storage from your PhotoBiz account.

Available Additional Storage Options

PhotoBiz offers the following Additional Storage upgrades:

  • 5,000 Additional Files – $5/month or $60/year
  • 15,000 Additional Files – $12/month or $144/year
  • 20,000 Additional Files – $15/month or $180/year
  • 50,000 Additional Files – $35/month or $420/year
  • 100,000 Additional Files – $50/month or $600/year

You can purchase more than one storage upgrade if you need additional capacity.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click PREMIUM UPGRADES in the left-side menu.

This opens the Premium Upgrades area, where you can review optional upgrades available for your account.

STEP TWO

Click ADDITIONAL STORAGE in the Premium Upgrades control panel.

You will see the Additional Storage options available for your account, along with the price for each storage block. If your purchase is being made during an active billing cycle, you will also see the prorated amount due for the current billing period and the regular charge that will apply to your next billing period.

FINAL STEP

Select the checkbox next to the Additional Storage option you want to purchase, then scroll down to the checkout area. Review the prorated price, your next regular storage charge, and your payment information before completing the purchase.

After your payment is processed, the additional file capacity is added to your existing PhotoBiz storage allowance and is available for use immediately.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Additional Storage Is Account-Wide

Additional Storage increases the total file capacity available across your PhotoBiz account. It is not reserved for a specific Client Gallery, website page, or other area of your account.

For example, if your account includes 5,000 files and you purchase an additional 15,000 files, your total file capacity becomes 20,000 files.

One Uploaded File Counts as One File

Each uploaded file counts as one file toward your account's available storage.

For example, one image uploaded to a Client Gallery counts as one file. The size of the image does not cause it to count as multiple files.

Client Gallery events do not have a separate fixed image-count limit. The number of images you can upload depends on the available file capacity in your PhotoBiz account.

Additional Storage Does Not Increase the Maximum File Size

Additional Storage increases the number of files your account can hold. It does not increase the maximum size allowed for an individual uploaded file.

The PhotoBiz Website Package allows individual files up to 4 MB. If you need to upload files larger than 4 MB, the Original Files upgrade allows supported files up to 50 MB.

Prorated Billing

When you purchase Additional Storage during your current billing cycle, the first charge is prorated.

The Premium Upgrades screen displays the prorated amount you will pay for the remainder of your current billing period and the regular storage charge that will apply beginning with your next billing period.

Because the prorated amount depends on when you purchase the upgrade, the amount shown at checkout may be lower than the regular monthly or annual price.

Removing Additional Storage

You can remove an Additional Storage block when your account has enough unused file capacity to remove the entire block.

For example:

  • To remove a 5,000-file upgrade, you must have at least 5,000 unused files.

  • To remove a 15,000-file upgrade, you must have at least 15,000 unused files.

  • To remove a 20,000-file upgrade, you must have at least 20,000 unused files.

  • To remove a 50,000-file upgrade, you must have at least 50,000 unused files.

  • To remove a 100,000-file upgrade, you must have at least 100,000 unused files.

If your account does not have enough unused file capacity, you will need to remove files you no longer need before the storage block can be removed.

Refunds are not issued for unused membership time.

Freeing Up File Space

If you do not want to purchase Additional Storage, you can free up space by deleting images, documents, videos, or other files that you no longer need.

Before deleting files, make sure they are no longer needed anywhere in your PhotoBiz account.

Older or Legacy PhotoBiz Plans

If you have an older PhotoBiz account or a legacy membership plan, such as a $29/Copper plan, your included file capacity may be different.

Contact the PhotoBiz Support Team by phone or live chat if you would like help reviewing your current plan or upgrading to the current Website Package.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

Why is the amount due today lower than the regular storage price?

Additional Storage is prorated when you add it during an active billing cycle. The Premium Upgrades screen shows the prorated amount due now and the regular amount that will be charged beginning with your next billing period.

Why can't I remove an Additional Storage upgrade?

Your account must have enough unused file capacity to remove the entire storage block. For example, you need at least 15,000 unused files before a 15,000-file Additional Storage upgrade can be removed.

Will Additional Storage let me upload larger image files?

No. Additional Storage increases the number of files your account can store. If you need to upload individual files larger than the standard 4 MB limit, you will need the Original Files upgrade.
