Alt text (alternative text) is a simple but important part of your website's SEO and accessibility. It’s a brief description of an image that helps visually impaired visitors understand what the image is about when using screen readers. Additionally, search engines like Google use alt text to understand the content of your images, helping them rank your site better.
Here’s a quick guide to help you add alt text to your images in your PhotoBiz blog posts.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on BLOG in the left side menu.
STEP TWO
You can CREATE A NEW BLOG POST or click on an EXISTING BLOG POST to add alt text to the images.
STEP THREE
Click on the Image block that contains the images you want to add alt text to. You can either click directly on the block or click the pencil icon in the top right corner of the block and choose Advanced.
STEP FOUR
In the menu that opens on the right side, click on the image thumbnail you want to add alt text to. This will open up the image settings.
FINAL STEP
Enter the alt text you want to use for the image (describe the image briefly but clearly) and click SAVE CHANGES.
