Overview
PhotoBiz sends email notifications for activity such as form submissions, orders, Scheduler appointments, Client Galleries activity, Conversations, and blog comments. If an expected notification does not appear in your inbox, your email provider may have filtered, redirected, or rejected the message.
This guide explains how to confirm the activity occurred, verify your PhotoBiz notification address, approve PhotoBiz as a trusted sender, and resolve common email delivery problems.
To learn which activities create notifications and where to view them in your account, see Understanding and Managing Your PhotoBiz Notifications.
Start by checking whether the submission, order, appointment, message, or other activity appears inside your PhotoBiz account.
Log in to your account and click the notification bell in the upper-right corner of the control panel. You can also open the PhotoBiz tool connected to the activity, such as Forms, ECommerce, Scheduler, Client Galleries, or Conversations.
PhotoBiz automatically sends the notification email as soon as the activity occurs. You do not need to manually send or approve the notification.
If the activity appears in your account, PhotoBiz received it successfully. A missing email notification does not mean the original activity was lost.
For example, a form submission will still appear in the Forms Dashboard even when its notification email does not reach your inbox.
If the activity does not appear in the applicable PhotoBiz tool, it was either deleted from the account or the activity did not occur. PhotoBiz cannot generate a notification email for activity that was not completed.
PhotoBiz notifications can only reach you when they are being sent to the correct email address.
By default, notifications are sent to the email address you use to log in to your PhotoBiz account. You can customize the notification address for certain features, including Forms, Scheduler, and ECommerce orders.
Confirm that the notification email address saved for the applicable feature is:
Correct any errors before testing the notification again.
Use the following guides to review or update your notification settings:
Your PhotoBiz login email and the customized notification address for a specific feature may be different. If you recently changed your email address, review each feature to make sure it is not still sending notifications to your previous address.
If notifications are sent to multiple recipients, troubleshoot each email address separately. Email providers may filter the same message differently.
Search your entire email account for messages from:
emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com
Searching your entire account may locate notifications that were archived, labeled, grouped with another message, or moved to an unexpected folder.
Search using the complete email address instead of searching only for “PhotoBiz.”
Check any folders that may contain filtered messages, including:
If you find a PhotoBiz notification, open the message and select NOT SPAM, NOT JUNK, or MOVE TO INBOX. The exact option depends on your email provider.
This action helps your provider recognize that you expect to receive PhotoBiz notifications.
Review any inbox rules or filters you previously created. Make sure they are not automatically deleting, archiving, forwarding, or moving PhotoBiz notifications to another folder.
You can create an email filter or inbox rule that directs PhotoBiz notification emails to your inbox automatically. This can help prevent your email provider from placing PhotoBiz notifications in Spam, Junk, Promotions, or another filtered folder.
Set the filter to recognize messages from:
emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com
Depending on your email provider, you may be able to select an action such as:
Use the guide for your email provider:
PhotoBiz notification emails are sent from:
emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.com
Add this address to your contacts, approved senders, or safe sender list.
When supported by your email provider, you can also approve the following sending domain:
mailbiz1.photobiz.com
Adding the notification address or sending domain can reduce the chance that your provider will classify PhotoBiz emails as spam. Your email provider still controls how incoming messages are filtered and where they appear.
PhotoBiz uses email validation to help protect the reliability of its notification system. If your email provider rejects a message, your email address may be marked as non-deliverable.
When this happens, PhotoBiz may stop sending additional notification emails to the address until the delivery problem is corrected and the address is reviewed.
Common reasons an email address may become non-deliverable include:
Correct the original delivery problem before requesting additional test notifications. If your email provider rejects another PhotoBiz notification, the address may be marked as non-deliverable again.
Contact PhotoBiz Support after correcting the problem. The Support team can check whether your email address has been marked as non-deliverable and review its status.
Business, school, government, and corporate email accounts may use security systems that filter automated messages before they reach your inbox.
If you cannot find the notification in Spam, Junk, or another filtered folder, contact the person who manages your email service. Ask them to approve the following sender and domain:
emailsupport@mailbiz1.photobiz.commailbiz1.photobiz.comYour email administrator may also need to review a server-level quarantine or security log.
Adding PhotoBiz to your personal contacts or inbox rules may not override security settings controlled by your organization.
After confirming your notification address and updating your email settings, perform a test using the same PhotoBiz feature connected to the missing notification.
For example, you can:
Use a test action that does not create an unwanted live order, payment, or appointment.
Check your inbox, Spam folder, and other filtered folders for the new notification. A successful notification from one PhotoBiz feature does not confirm that every feature is configured with the same recipient address.
Why can I see the activity in PhotoBiz but not in my email?
PhotoBiz received the activity, but your email provider may have filtered, redirected, or rejected the email notification. Check your filtered folders, confirm the notification email address, and add PhotoBiz as an approved sender.
Was my form submission, order, or appointment lost?
If the activity appears in your PhotoBiz account, it was not lost. The email is only a notification and is separate from the original activity.
Open the applicable PhotoBiz Dashboard or tool to review the form submission, order, appointment, comment, message, or Client Galleries activity.
What does non-deliverable mean?
Non-deliverable means that an email provider rejected a previous PhotoBiz message. PhotoBiz may pause future delivery attempts to prevent additional rejected messages.
Correct the cause of the rejection, and then contact PhotoBiz Support to have the email address reviewed.
Will adding PhotoBiz to my contacts guarantee delivery?
No. Adding PhotoBiz to your contacts or approved senders can improve delivery, but your email provider controls its spam filters and inbox placement.
Can PhotoBiz control whether an email goes to spam?
PhotoBiz follows email delivery standards, but your email provider makes the final decision about where a message appears. Adding the notification address to your approved senders and creating an inbox rule can improve future delivery.
Do PhotoBiz notification emails include an unsubscribe option?
No. PhotoBiz notification emails do not include an unsubscribe option. They are sent automatically to alert you about website and account activity.
