How to Change the Layout of a Products Block

Overview

You can change the layout of a Products Block without deleting the block or adding your products again. PhotoBiz includes layouts for product grids, menus, image-and-text displays, and individual featured products.

This guide explains the two ways to change the layout of an existing Products Block. You will also find a complete overview of the available layout options.

Prerequisites

A Products Block must already be added to a page on your website.

If you have not added one yet, see How to Use the Products Block to Sell Items on Your PhotoBiz Website.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens the Website Builder.

STEP TWO

Click the name of the page containing the Products Block you want to update.

Locate the Products Block on the page.

STEP THREE

You can change the layout directly from the block or through the editing panel.

To preview layouts quickly, locate the current layout name in the upper-right corner of the Products Block. Click the left or right arrow to move through the available layouts. The block will update automatically as you select each layout, and you do not need to click Save.

Single Item layouts cannot be applied with the layout arrows. You must use the editing panel because these layouts require you to select the individual product you want to feature.

To use the editing panel, click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the Products Block. Click CHANGE LAYOUT in the menu that appears.

FINAL STEP

When you use the editing panel, the available layouts will appear on the right side of the Website Builder. Browse the options and click Save below the layout you want to use.

The new layout will appear in the Website Builder preview. Click VIEW SITE at the top of the builder to review the Products Block on your live website.

Products Block Layout Options

The available layouts are organized by the type of product display they create.

Grid Layouts

Grid layouts display multiple products in an image-focused arrangement.

  • Modern Square: Displays square images with the product title and price over the image
  • Modern Portrait: Displays portrait images with the product title and price over the image
  • Modern Landscape: Displays landscape images with the product title and price over the image
  • Editorial Circle: Displays products using circular images and subtle styling
  • Editorial Square: Displays products using square images and subtle styling
  • Editorial Portrait: Displays products using vertical images and subtle styling
  • Editorial Landscape: Displays products using horizontal images and subtle styling
  • Designer Pinboard: Displays the product title below the image and the price over the image
  • Designer Portrait: Displays portrait images with the product title below and the price over the image
  • Designer Landscape: Displays landscape images with the product title below and the price over the image
  • Gallery: Displays a large featured image with thumbnails below it
  • Contemporary Square: Displays products in a clean, modern square grid
  • Contemporary Landscape: Displays products in a clean, modern landscape grid

The Gallery layout can be especially useful for displaying artwork, prints, and products with multiple images.

Image and Text Layouts

Image and text layouts display product images alongside product information.

  • Image Small Left: Displays a small image on the left and product information on the right
  • Image Large Left: Displays a large image on the left and product information on the right
  • Image Thin Left: Displays a narrow image on the left and product information on the right
  • Image Bottom: Displays product information above the image
  • Designer Large Portrait: Displays a prominent portrait image with styled product information

Classic and Contemporary Menu Layouts

Menu layouts can help organize product collections or create a streamlined product list.

  • Classic Landscape: Displays products using a traditional image-and-text arrangement
  • Classic Layers: Displays overlapping images and product information
  • Classic Menu: Displays products in a simple menu-style format
  • Contemporary Menu: Displays products in a modern menu with clean lines
  • Designer Menu: Displays products in a polished, styled menu
  • Center Menu: Displays a centered, text-only product menu without images
  • Stack Menu: Displays products in a vertical menu with or without images

Single Item Layouts

Single Item layouts feature one selected product instead of displaying a collection.

  • Single Item Square: Features one product using a square image
  • Single Item Landscape: Features one product using a landscape image
  • Single Item Portrait: Features one product using a portrait image
  • Single Item Gallery: Displays multiple images from one product in a gallery
  • Single Item Slideshow: Displays images from one product in a slideshow

When you select a Single Item layout, use the Products Block editing panel to choose the product you want to display.

Additional Options and Helpful Notes

Changing the layout does not remove the products assigned to the block. However, some layouts may support different product-selection, styling, font, color, or animation settings.

After changing the layout, open the Products Block editing panel and review the available settings. This helps you confirm that the spacing, text, images, and buttons match the rest of your website.
