This guide will walk you through the steps to configure your PhotoBiz Mailbox on the Gmail app for your iPhone or iPad
Important Note: You will need to know your Mailbox Email Address and Mailbox Password to complete the setup and to check your Mail on your iPhone, this is a different login from the one you use to log into your PhotoBiz account.
PhotoBiz is not affiliated with Gmail. We can help you configure your device to work with your Mailbox. For questions about your Apple device or Gmail interface, you'll want to contact Apple or Google Support.
PRO TIP!
Before configuring your PhotoBiz Mailbox on your iOS device, be sure to check for any available system updates via the App Store. iOS may require them for your Gmail app to function properly.
IMAP instructions for Gmail App on iPhone
To configure your email on your iPhone or iPad follow these steps:
STEP ONE
Open the Gmail app on your iPhone.
STEP TWO
Click your profile photo in the upper right corner, and click Add Account.
STEP THREE
From the list of account type options, select Other (IMAP).
STEP FOUR
Enter your own email address into the field provided, and tap Next to continue.
STEP FIVE
Enter the following information in the fields provided for Incoming server settings:
Username: your full email address
Password: the password for your mailbox
IMAP server: secure.emailsrvr.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL/TLS
Tap Next to continue.
STEP SIX
Enter the following information in the fields provided for Outgoing server settings:
Username: your full email address
Password: the password for your mailbox
SMTP server: secure.emailsrvr.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL/TLS
Tap Next to continue.
FINAL STEP
If all settings have been correctly entered, you will see a confirmation message that says your account is set up and email is on its way! In the field provided, you can enter the name you prefer to show on the emails you send from this account.
Tap Next to finish setup.
PRO TIP!
If you do not receive a confirmation email and instead see an error message, this will mean that there is a typo in your settings. The most common typos occur in the mailbox password or server names. To resolve the error, you can go back to your incoming and outgoing settings and double-check that everything is entered correctly.
