How to Limit a Coupon to Specific Products or Categories in PhotoBiz

PhotoBiz allows you to restrict coupons so they only apply to specific products, services, prints, digital images, packages, or Scheduler items. This gives you more control over which items receive a discount while still allowing clients to purchase other items at full price. This guide walks you through how to limit a coupon to specific items or categories in your Ecommerce store.

Important:

Coupons apply only to orders placed through ECommerce, Scheduler, and Client Galleries.
Coupons are not available for use with Invoices or Form Payments.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure:

The items you want to discount already exist in your Ecommerce price list.
You have already created a coupon or are in the process of creating one.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

Mouse over the PAYMENT menu item and click on COUPONS in the drop-down menu.

STEP THREE

Create a new coupon or click an existing coupon to edit it.

STEP FOUR

In the Coupon settings, click the NEXT: CHOOSE ITEMS button.

STEP FIVE

Choose what your coupon should apply to:

Any Item
Any Item in a Specific Category
Specific Items

Click NEXT STEP to continue.

STEP SIX

Select the specific category or individual items you want the coupon to apply to.

Click Update Coupon to save your changes to finalize the coupon.

STEP SEVEN (Optional – BOGO Coupons Only)

If you are creating a Buy One Get One (BOGO) coupon, you will need to update the following settings:

Select the items your customer must purchase:

Any Item
Any Item in a Specific Category
Specific Items

If your customer adds more than the maximum quantity of applicable items to their cart, choose how the discount should apply:

Apply coupon as is; do not enforce a maximum discount
Maximum discount amount should not exceed $99
Maximum discount amount should not exceed cost of highest price item

Click UPDATE COUPON to finalize your changes.

Helpful Notes

This setup works well for:
- Free or discounted prints
- Targeted product promotions
- Package-specific offers
Only one coupon code can be used per order.
Coupons apply only to supported checkout types.
