How to Publish a Blog Post in PhotoBiz

Overview

The PhotoBiz Website Package includes a built-in blog that allows you to share updates, showcase sessions, and keep your website content fresh. Publishing blog posts helps you stay connected with your audience and improve your search visibility. This guide walks you through how to publish a blog post from your PhotoBiz control panel. By the end, your post will be live, scheduled, or saved as a draft based on your selected settings.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click BLOG in the left-side menu. This will open your blog dashboard where all of your posts are stored.

STEP TWO

Click NEW POST to create a new blog post, or select an existing draft that you want to publish. This will open the blog post editor where you can review or update your content.

If you have multiple pages of blog posts, you can use the search bar to quickly locate a specific post.

STEP THREE

In the blog post editor, click the PUBLISH button in the upper-right corner. This will open your publishing options.

FINAL STEP

Choose how you want your blog post to be published. You can save it as a draft, schedule it for a future date, or publish it immediately. After selecting your preferred option, click SAVE CHANGES to apply your settings.

Once saved, your post will either remain in draft mode, be scheduled to publish later, or appear live on your website. If published, you can view your post on your live website blog page.

Publishing Options Explained

  • Draft
    Saves your post without making it visible on your website. Draft posts can only be viewed inside your PhotoBiz control panel.
  • Schedule Publishing
    Allows you to choose a future date and time for your post to go live. Scheduled posts will not appear on your website until the selected publish date and time.
  • Publish Now
    Immediately publishes your post so it is visible on your website.

Important Notes

  • Your blog post title automatically generates the URL for the post
  • Changing the title after publishing will also change the URL
  • If the URL changes, any existing links to that post may no longer work
  • Scheduled publish times follow the time zone set in your PhotoBiz account settings
  • Saving changes applies updates instantly, there is no separate publish button for your website
  • If your date settings are configured to hide publish dates, the creation date and publish date will not display on your blog posts or in your control panel
  • The canonical version of your blog post URL is automatically generated in the format:
    https://www.yourdomain.com/blog-post/blog-post-title
  • Your blog post is automatically added to your RSS feed once it is published, which can be submitted to search engines like Google

Troubleshooting

Why isn’t my blog post showing on my website?

  • The post is still set to Draft
  • The post is scheduled for a future date
  • The scheduled publish time has not been reached based on your account time zone
