How to Add an Image to Your Website Footer

Overview

You can use the Image Block in your PhotoBiz website footer to display a single image, such as your business logo, certification graphic, or another visual element. Each Image Block is designed to display one image at a time.

After adding your image, you can enter alt text, make the image clickable, and customize the block's styling, colors, and background. Your footer normally appears throughout your website unless you disable it on an individual page.

If you want to display multiple logos, awards, memberships, or other graphics together, use the Badges Block instead.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. This opens the PhotoBiz Website Builder.

STEP TWO

Scroll to the bottom of your website page list and click FOOTER. This opens the footer in the Website Builder so you can add, edit, and rearrange your footer content.

STEP THREE

Locate the Image Block in the footer block options on the right side of the Website Builder and click it to add an Image Block to your footer.

The new block will be added to the footer builder area. You can reposition the block if you want the image to appear above or below other footer content.

STEP FOUR

Click the Image Block you added to open its settings in the right-side panel.

FINAL STEP

Click IMAGE UPLOAD and choose the image you want to display from your computer.

For a compact footer image such as a logo, an image around 150 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall works well. Larger images can also be uploaded and will resize when displayed in the footer.

Enter descriptive alt text when the image provides meaningful information. Alt text helps visitors using screen readers understand the purpose of the image and gives search engines additional context about the image.

If you want the image to be clickable, choose a destination using the link settings. Leave the link set to NONE if the image does not need to open anything.

Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished. Your saved changes are automatically applied to your website, so there is no separate Publish button.

Image Link Options

You can leave your footer image unlinked or connect it to another destination.

  • NONE: Displays the image without making it clickable.
  • EXTERNAL LINK: Opens a website or online resource outside your PhotoBiz website.
  • PAGE: Opens another page on your PhotoBiz website.
  • FORM: Opens a form created in your Forms Dashboard.
  • MARKETING: Opens a supported campaign or landing page from your Marketing Dashboard.
  • FILE: Opens a supported file uploaded to the Documents area of your PhotoBiz account.
  • PHONE: Creates a click-to-call link using the phone number you enter.
  • EMAIL: Opens the visitor's default email application with your email address entered.
  • ADDRESS: Opens the connected address in Google Maps.
  • VIDEO: Opens a supported YouTube or Vimeo video in a lightbox.
  • POP-UPS: Opens an existing website pop-up connected to the image.

Test any link you add after saving to make sure it opens the intended destination.

Using One Image vs. Multiple Images

The footer Image Block is designed for one image. If you want another standalone image in a different area of the footer, you can add another Image Block.

If you want to display several related graphics together, such as professional affiliations, awards, certifications, partner logos, or organization memberships, use the Badges Block instead. The Badges Block allows you to manage multiple images together within a single footer block.

See How to Add and Customize the Badges Block in Your Website Footer for complete instructions.

Styling Options

Click STYLING in the Image Block settings to adjust the spacing around the block. These block-level settings override the corresponding global styling settings under DESIGN.

Available settings include:

  • Space Below Blocks: Controls the amount of space between the Image Block and the block that follows it.
  • Space Inside Blocks: Controls the amount of space at the top and bottom inside the Image Block.

Click SAVE CHANGES after making your adjustments.

Color Options

Click COLORS to customize the color settings available for the Image Block. Any colors customized at the block level override the corresponding global colors selected under DESIGN for this block only.

Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.

Background Options

Click BACKGROUND if you want to add or customize a background behind the Image Block.

Available background options include:

  • NO BACKGROUND: Displays the block without a background image.
  • CUSTOM BACKGROUND: Lets you upload your own background image.
  • BACKGROUND LIBRARY: Lets you choose a background provided by PhotoBiz.

When using a custom or library background, available display settings include:

  • TILE: Repeats the image to fill the available background area.
  • TOP LEFT: Aligns the image with the top-left corner of the block.
  • CENTERED: Positions the image in the center of the available area.
  • COVER: Scales the image to cover the entire background area. Portions of the image may be cropped to fit.

Click SAVE CHANGES after making your adjustments.

Helpful Notes

  • Each footer Image Block displays one image.
  • Use the Badges Block when you need multiple related images displayed together.
  • Transparent PNG files generally work well for logos that need to blend into the footer background.
  • Make sure you have permission to display third-party logos, awards, certifications, or organization graphics.
  • Add descriptive alt text when an image communicates meaningful information.
  • Test any link connected to the image after saving.
  • Review your footer on both desktop and mobile devices to make sure the image size and spacing work with your website design.
  • The footer will not appear on an individual page if you have disabled the footer in that page's settings.
