Overview
You can password-protect an individual page on your PhotoBiz website to limit access to visitors who have the password. This is useful for private client pages, limited-access information, hidden offers, or content you only want to share with specific people.
Password protection is applied per page. It does not password-protect your entire website or other pages in your Website Builder.
This guide explains how to add a password to a page, confirm that the page is protected, and remove the password later if you want to make the page public again.
Before you begin, make sure you have access to your PhotoBiz control panel and an existing website page you want to password-protect.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens your Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages and page settings.
From your list of website pages, click the page you want to password-protect.
Once the page opens in the Website Builder editor, click the SETTINGS button in the top-right corner of the page.
In the Page Password field, type the password you want visitors to enter before they can view the page.
When you are finished, click SAVE CHANGES to apply the password to the page.
Visit the page on your website to confirm the password protection is working.
Visitors who open the page will be prompted to enter the password before they can view the page content. Once the correct password is entered, the page content will display.
Removing a Page Password
You can remove the password from the page at any time.
Return to the page in your Website Builder and click SETTINGS. Delete the password from the Page Password field, then click SAVE CHANGES.
The page will be accessible to all visitors again after the password is removed.
Important Notes About Password Protection
Password protection applies only to the individual page where the password is set.
Once a visitor enters the password, their browser may remember it. They may not be prompted again unless they use a different browser, private browsing window, or clear their browser cache and cookies.
Password protection limits visitor access to the page content, but it should not be used as a replacement for secure document storage or account-based client access.
The password entry screen is generated automatically by PhotoBiz and uses your global website design settings.
The following global design settings can affect how the password page appears:
