Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries allow you to require visitors to enter their email address before they view a gallery event. This helps you track who is viewing your galleries, follow up with clients, and support your proofing or ordering workflow.
This guide walks you through how to enable email collection on the cover page for an existing Client Gallery Event. Once enabled, visitors will be asked to enter their email address before they can access the gallery images.
When you preview a Client Gallery Event from inside your PhotoBiz account, email collection is skipped so you can access the gallery directly.
Your clients will still be asked to enter their email address when they visit the gallery through a direct link, email invitation, or Client Galleries Block on your website.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.
This opens your Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your gallery events, client access, settings, and activity.
At the top of the Client Galleries Dashboard, click EVENTS.
This opens your list of Client Gallery Events.
Click the name of the Client Gallery Event you want to update.
If you have multiple galleries or several pages of events, you can use the search field to find the event where you want to enable email collection.
Click the gear icon at the top right of the screen to open the Event Settings for that gallery.
This is where you can update settings for the selected Client Gallery Event, including cover page options, access settings, and event details.
Find the Cover Page Email Collection setting and select YES.
Scroll down and click SAVE CHANGES to apply the update.
Once saved, your gallery cover page will require visitors to enter an email address before they can view the gallery images. If the event also has password protection enabled, visitors will need to enter both their email address and the gallery password before accessing the event.
If you enable Email Collection on a Client Gallery Event, we recommend using Client Galleries Email Automations as well. Email Collection helps capture the visitor’s email address, while Email Automations help you follow up with clients after they view the gallery. This option is located directly below the Email Collection settings in your Event.
Email Automations can help keep clients engaged during the proofing or ordering process by sending automatic reminders and follow-up messages.
If you are using the gallery for proofing, sharing images, or general client follow-up without selling through the event, consider enabling the Client Galleries Event series.
If you are selling prints, packages, digital images, or other items through the event, consider enabling the Client Galleries Event & Cart Reminder Series. This series can help remind clients to return to the gallery and complete their order.
