Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries lets you control the order in which images appear within each gallery of a Client Galleries event. If you want to quickly organize a gallery based on your image file names, you can use RE-SORT IMAGES to arrange the images in ascending file name order from A to Z.
Re-sorting replaces the current image sequence for the gallery you are viewing. This guide walks you through how to re-sort a gallery by file name and explains how to manually adjust the image order afterward.
Important: Re-sorting overrides the current image sequence and cannot be automatically undone. If you have already manually arranged your images, make sure you want to replace that sequence before continuing.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.
This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your events, galleries, images, and Client Galleries settings.
Click EVENTS in the Client Galleries Dashboard.
This displays your existing Client Galleries events.
Click the EVENT NAME that contains the gallery you want to re-sort.
If you have multiple events, you can use the search bar to locate an existing event by name. If your event contains multiple galleries, make sure you are viewing the specific gallery whose images you want to reorganize.
Click RE-SORT IMAGES.
This option re-sorts the images in the current gallery according to their existing file names.
A confirmation window will appear explaining that the images in the gallery will be re-sorted by file name in ascending order from A to Z. The current image sequence will be replaced, and the action cannot be automatically undone.
Select YES, then click RE-SORT IMAGES to continue.
Once the re-sort is complete, the images in the current gallery will display in ascending file name order.
001, 002, 003, and so on.If you need to rename multiple image files before uploading them, see How to Batch Resize/Rename Files Using Lightroom.
If you do not want to sort an entire gallery by file name, you can manually rearrange individual images instead.
Drag and drop images into the sequence you prefer. This is useful when you want complete control over the presentation of a gallery or when you only need to adjust a few images.
Manual rearranging can also be used after running RE-SORT IMAGES, allowing you to start with file name order and then make individual adjustments.
Why did my images not appear in the order I expected?
The RE-SORT IMAGES feature uses the existing file names to determine the image sequence. If your file names use different naming or numbering formats, the resulting order may not match the sequence you expected.
For the most predictable results, use a consistent naming structure before uploading your images. If you need to rename multiple files at once, see How to Batch Resize/Rename Files Using Lightroom.
Can I undo a re-sort?
There is no automatic Undo option after you use RE-SORT IMAGES. You can, however, manually drag and drop the images into a different sequence afterward.
Does re-sorting rename my images?
No. Re-sorting changes the display sequence of the images in the gallery. Your existing file names remain unchanged.
