How to Use the Design Tab and Live Preview in the PhotoBiz Website Builder

Overview

The Design tab in your PhotoBiz Website Builder controls the overall look and feel of your website. From this area, you can update your logo, colors, fonts, backgrounds, animations, and more using global design settings. These settings act as your default styling across your entire site. This guide will show you how to access the Design tab, update your design settings, and understand how those changes affect your live website.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu of your control panel. This opens your Website Dashboard where you manage your pages, layout, and design settings.

STEP TWO

Click the DESIGN tab at the top center of your Website Dashboard. This opens your website’s global design settings area.

STEP THREE

Click the EDIT DESIGN SETTINGS button inside the Design tab. This opens the right-side settings panel where you can manage all of your global design options.

From this panel, you can update your website’s visual styling, including your logo, colors, fonts, backgrounds, and more.

STEP FOUR

Adjust your design settings as needed. As you make changes, you will see them reflected in the live preview area so you can review your updates before saving.

When you are ready, click SAVE to apply your changes. Your updates will immediately appear on your live website. There is no separate publish step.

FINAL STEP

Visit your live website after saving to confirm your updates appear as expected. Your new design settings should now be visible across your site.

Understanding Global Design Settings

Global design settings control the default appearance of your entire website. These settings help keep your branding consistent across all pages.

You can customize the following areas:

Logo
Upload or replace your logo. This updates across your entire website.
Colors
Set your primary and secondary color palette. These apply to buttons, accents, and design elements.
Fonts
Choose your heading and body fonts to match your brand.
Styling
Adjust layout width, spacing, borders, and button styles.
Graphics
Add decorative design elements to enhance your site’s appearance.
Site Background
Set the background for your main website pages.
Footer Background
Customize the appearance of your footer section.
CSS/JS
Add custom code for advanced styling or third-party integrations.
Detail Page Layouts
Control how blog posts, services, and product pages are displayed.
Animations
Enable or adjust motion effects as visitors scroll through your site.

HOW GLOBAL DESIGN SETTINGS WORK

Global design settings apply across your entire website by default. However, you can override these settings within individual blocks when needed.

For example:

Your global font applies to all text unless changed inside a specific block
Your global colors apply to buttons and accents unless customized at the block level
Your global background applies to your layout unless overridden in a section

If you customize a specific block, such as a Banner Block or Text Editor Block, those changes only affect that block. Your global settings remain unchanged.

This allows you to maintain consistent branding while still customizing individual sections of your website.

TEMPLATE CHANGE (OPTIONAL)

You can change your website template at any time from the Design tab.

When switching templates:

Your existing content remains in place
You do not need to rebuild your pages

After changing templates, review your website carefully to ensure everything displays correctly.

Live Preview Tips

The live preview inside the Design tab allows you to:

View changes before publishing
Test different font and color combinations
Compare styling updates instantly
Refine your design without affecting your live website

Changes are not visible to your website visitors until you publish them.
