How to Manage Client Galleries Settings in PhotoBiz

Overview

The Settings section of the PhotoBiz Client Galleries Dashboard controls several options that affect your gallery events. You can add custom links to the gallery side menu, select an Image Protection level, adjust watermark visibility, and upload a custom watermark.

These settings apply across your Client Galleries account. This guide explains each option and how to save your changes.

Access Client Galleries Settings

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.

From the Client Galleries Dashboard, click SETTINGS at the top center of the page. The Settings section includes:

  • Additional Menu Items
  • Image Protection
  • Watermark Visibility
  • Custom Watermark upload

Additional Menu Items

Use ADDITIONAL MENU ITEMS (OPTIONAL) to add custom links to the side menu clients see while viewing a gallery event.

Enter the text you want clients to see in the NAME field. Enter the complete destination address in the corresponding URL field. Include https:// at the beginning of the URL.

You can add up to three Additional Menu Items. These links appear above the logout button in the gallery side menu.

Common uses include links to:

  • Your main website
  • Your contact page
  • Session information
  • Pricing guides
  • Print or product information
  • Frequently asked questions
  • Booking or payment pages

Use short, descriptive names so clients understand where each link will take them. The other options displayed in the gallery side menu may vary based on the settings enabled for each event.

For more information, see How To Add Links To Your Menu in Client Galleries

Image Protection

Use IMAGE PROTECTION to select how PhotoBiz protects images displayed in your gallery events.

Image Protection is a global setting. The level you select applies to all existing gallery events and any new events you create.

You can select Standard, Medium, or High. Medium is enabled by default.

Standard

Standard includes PhotoBiz safeguards against direct image access and drag-and-drop saving.

This option provides basic protection while placing fewer restrictions on standard browser interactions.

Medium

Medium adds safeguards designed to discourage:

  • Screenshots
  • Right-click saving
  • Downloads
  • Printing
  • Copying

Gallery images remain fully visible during normal viewing. Some right-click actions may be unavailable while Medium protection is active.

Clients can still use Ctrl + V on Windows or Command + V on Mac when they need to paste information into supported gallery fields.

High

High keeps portions of each displayed image blurred at all times. This provides the strongest available screenshot deterrence.

Because parts of the image remain obscured, review a gallery from the client’s perspective before using High protection.

Image Protection helps discourage unauthorized image use, but no website can completely prevent screenshots or screen recordings on every computer, phone, or tablet.

For more information, see How to Control Image Protection in Client Galleries.

Watermark Visibility

Use WATERMARK VISIBILITY to control how prominently your watermark appears over gallery images.

Select a percentage from the visibility menu. A higher percentage makes the watermark more noticeable, while a lower percentage makes it more subtle.

Under Display watermark in, select one of the following options:

  • Large image view only
  • Large image view and Grid view

Select Large image view only when you want the watermark to appear after a client opens an individual image.

Select Large image view and Grid view when you also want the watermark displayed over images in the gallery grid.

Watermarks appear while clients view images inside the gallery. They are not permanently added to image files clients are authorized to download.

For more information, see How to Apply a Watermark To PhotoBiz Client Galleries

Upload a Custom Watermark

You can upload a custom watermark to display your logo, studio name, copyright notice, website address, or other identifying artwork over your gallery images.

Your custom watermark must meet the following specifications:

  • Recommended dimensions: 3000 × 1730 pixels
  • Maximum dimensions: 3000 × 1730 pixels
  • File format: PNG

The recommended dimensions are also the maximum size allowed.

A PNG file with a transparent background generally provides the cleanest appearance over gallery images.

Drag and drop your watermark into the upload area or click add files to select the file from your device. If you do not upload a custom watermark, PhotoBiz uses the default copyright image.

Save Your Changes

After reviewing your Additional Menu Items, Image Protection level, and watermark settings, scroll to the bottom of the section and click SAVE CHANGES.

The Save Changes button automatically applies your updates. There is no separate publish button.

Open one of your gallery events in a private or incognito browser window to confirm that the menu links, Image Protection behavior, and watermark display appear as expected.

Helpful Notes

  • Image Protection applies to all existing and future gallery events.
  • Image Protection and watermarking provide different types of protection.
  • Image Protection restricts certain browser interactions, while a watermark places a visible mark over displayed images.
  • Additional Menu Items appear above the logout button in the gallery side menu.
  • Gallery side menu options may vary based on the settings enabled for an individual event.
  • Test your gallery on both a computer and a mobile device after changing these settings.
  • Image Protection cannot completely prevent screenshots or recordings made with external device features.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why can’t I right-click inside a gallery?

Your selected Image Protection level may restrict right-click actions. Select Standard if you want fewer restrictions on normal browser interactions.

Clients can use Ctrl + V on Windows or Command + V on Mac when they need to paste information into a supported gallery field.

Why are portions of my gallery images blurred?

High Image Protection intentionally keeps portions of each displayed image blurred. Select Medium or Standard if you want the complete image to remain visible during normal gallery viewing.

Why do I see a copyright image instead of my custom watermark?

PhotoBiz uses the default copyright image when you have not uploaded a custom watermark. Upload a PNG file under Watermark Visibility to use your own design.

Why is my custom watermark not uploading?

Confirm that the watermark is a PNG file and does not exceed 3000 pixels wide by 1730 pixels high.

Why does my watermark not appear on downloaded files?

Watermarks are displayed over images viewed inside the gallery. They are not permanently added to files a client is authorized to download.

Can Image Protection completely prevent screenshots?

No. Image Protection can discourage screenshots and restrict certain browser actions, but websites cannot completely control every screenshot or screen-recording feature available on computers, phones, and tablets.
